  1. I've been seeing the new pcs carrier and b26 steadily for the entire week in the same location I posted about before (Oak Park Ave. & Pershing Rd.). The new uscc carrier is still showing the much faster throughput and slightly better signal I described. I'm pretty sure my battery drains a little faster though in house with it hopping between carriers frequently. It seems to hang onto the uscc pcs carrier unless it gets weak then it hops to b26 then back to the uscc. Occasionally still see the old xxxxxx02 cgi though when moving about the house. It does seem that the old carrier does have somewhat better throughput performance from the extra capacity spread.
  2. Same place. Oh boy.. Maybe I should. With that kinda' humor you probably need to get out more.
  3. Picking up B26 today again.
  4. The xxxxx05 GCI I was connecting to two days ago stopped the next day. Haven't seen it since then or B26 for that matter. Back to pretty lackluster signal and throughput performance for being less than half-mile from the tower. The curious thing is I could swear the 1x/ehrpd/evdo singal is slightly weaker since. Berwyn (Oak Park Ave. & Pershing Rd.)
  5. I've seen B26 for two two-day periods in the past couple weeks and I believe I'm getting the new B25 carrier today. Definitely better signal performance on B25 now and speed tests are night-and-day faster. Consistently 400% faster on average. Closest intersection Oak Park Ave. and Pershing Rd. (Berwyn). I believe this is the tower I'm connecting to : https://www.google.com/maps/place/3910+Scoville+Ave/@41.821286,-87.786365,3a,90y,195h,90t/data=!3m4!1e1!3m2!1s3UtN1uB2M2d5MOHkzMFHmg!2e0!4m2!3m1!1s0x880e341d2bbe4621:0x28cac0c88d0efb9b!6m1!1e1 Cheers!
  6. The same place I've been posting about for days Vince. You've asked three times now. Closest intersection is Oak Park Ave. and Pershing Rd. I believe this is the tower that I'm connecting to (Cant get anymore specific than this) : https://www.google.com/maps/place/3910+Scoville+Ave/@41.821286,-87.786365,3a,90y,195h,90t/data=!3m4!1e1!3m2!1s3UtN1uB2M2d5MOHkzMFHmg!2e0!4m2!3m1!1s0x880e341d2bbe4621:0x28cac0c88d0efb9b!6m1!1e1 What you think the signal is like on that block ? Could get 60Mbps buried 50 feet underground.
  7. I think cdk is correct in my situation on being connected to the new B25 carrier. I have the GCI ending in 05 and now that I have had a chance to use the phone throughout the day I can now say it's more than "slightly" better that I originally posted. I am now seeing signal in the mid -90 db's even low -90 in parts of my house where I have never seen this before. At least with the phone not in hand. At the tower facing windows I now see steady low -90's on table and mid -90's in hand. Albeit in hand intermittently and in the deeper parts of my mouse I still see it dip into the -106 range and -110 to -120 in my basement. It will actually hold the B25 signal now tho'. I may have not seen an ehrpd connection all day. On average I'd say it seems like a +5db gain. Also, speedtests are night and day difference. I saw 24Mbps in and 9Mbps out on one test and am coming close to that on subsequent tests. I am getting on average 400% increase on speedtests in general. But to keep on B26, yeah I've seen it on two occasions for two-day periods now here last seen Sunday night. That's it.
  8. I think you're correct. Not sure exactly when it started but my GCI ends in 05 now. Thanks for the info.
  9. I haven't seen a B26 connection since Sunday night. My phone seems to be falling-back to ehrpd again instead. Convinced they are doing some sort of field testing for coverage. I could swear that I have slightly better B25 signal now and I'm seeing much faster speedtests while on B25 today. https://www.google.com/maps/place/3910+Scoville+Ave/@41.821286,-87.786365,3a,90y,195h,90t/data=!3m4!1e1!3m2!1s3UtN1uB2M2d5MOHkzMFHmg!2e0!4m2!3m1!1s0x880e341d2bbe4621:0x28cac0c88d0efb9b!6m1!1e1
  10. Yup coincides with my experience / posts exactly. And yes me too I've known for some time. They put it up with the new Stickney cop-shop about 12 years ago (the tower). I still have the signal when B25 gets weak in my home today. Cheers.
  11. Same place I posted before. & again I see it in the deeper parts of my house and basement now instead of the ehrpd. Even tho' I have B26 prioritized in the data menu it will still use B41 then B25 by default when it has an acceptable signal on those bands it seems. Cheers.
  12. I'm now seeing the B26 LTE again this morning here. I hope it sticks around this time.
  13. I haven't seen a B26 LTE connection since last week as I posted. My G2 now behaves like it always has and falls-back to PCS eHRPD when in parts of my basement, I also remember occasionally seeing the 1x800 connection last month or month before. This was about a half mile down the road futher from the tower where signal becomes weak and once or twice in my basement. I'm pretty sure I haven't seen this 1x800 either for two weeks or more. Anybody have any ideas as to why I would have seen the B26 LTE here for a few days and now I don't ? Any known issues with the G2 in regards to this ?
  14. Here (general area). Tower is about 1/3 mile down the road from this spot. : https://www.google.com/maps/place/W+Pershing+Rd+%26+Oak+Park+Ave/@41.8213173,-87.7924789,17z/data=!3m1!4b1!4m2!3m1!1s0x880e341e5ef622c1:0xe97d8020ed06b783 This was in the deeper parts of my house and basement that I was seeing the connection. I messed with the band priorities yesterday afternoon (set B26 to highest priority) and now it seems to be falling back to ehrpd again where it was doing B26 LTE Monday and Tuesday. Even after I changed it back to default this morning. It seems the priority settings don't really work, imho. I noticed the same sort of behavior when trying to prioritize B41. So either I messed something up with changing the prio's or for some other reason seems to not be connecting today. Sprint testing the waters ? Fixing something ? B26 spectrum already overloaded by iPhone'ers ?! Who knows?, but I did see it as I described. Using SignalCheck Pro.
  15. I've been getting 800Mhz B26 LTE here at my home just outside of Chicago since yesterday with my G2. I'm definitely seeing better indoor reception. Places inside the house that it used to fallback to 1x/ehrpd it now connects to the B26 LTE. Seems to generally be +10db to +15 signal relative to B25. Just as advertised for indoor signal propagation. Speed tests early this morning and last night showed an average of 8Mbps with the highest score being 11Mbps. Pretty much the same figures for both ingress/egress. This with signal hovering around -96. I'm a little less than a half mile from the tower. Anyway, just thought this would be good info for the thread.
