  10. I do think that it is it is odd that not only was I turned down for the Magic Box, but apparently I am also not eligible for the new version of the Airwave. Since my new Samsung Galaxy Note 5 does have WiFi Calling, it is not that urgent for me to get the new Airwave, so I will wait for a bit and push the Sprint Reps more the next time I call. 11. Thanks RedSpark for the information and reassureance that the move to the Unlimited Freedom Plan is a good value for me! [emoji106] Sent from my SM-N920P using Tapatalk
  12. Thank you RedSpark for your valuable opinion and information. I was actually thinking that the Unlimited Freedom Plan was actually a better value for me, I am always a bit skeptical when any WirelessRep (not just Sprint) suggests any plan changes. Also since I had held on to the ED 1500 plan for so long, I was a bit worried about losing any benefits that I had with that plan. Sent from my SM-N920P using Tapatalk
  13. Just for clarity...I was not saying that I was arbitrary forced into the new Unlimited Freedom Plan. I did mention in my previous post that I said to the Sprint Tech that the Unlimited Freedom Plan did sound like a good value, but I did clearly state to the Tech that I wanted to "think about it and consider my options". So I did not actually give my consent or authorization to be switched over. Honestly, at this point, since I have already been switched over to the new Unlimited Freedom Plan, I'd me more than happy to stay with the Unlimited Freedom Plan, as long as it is a good value for me and there aren't any 'catches' that will cause me to lose any benefits I had with the ED 1500 plan. Futhermore, the reason I chose to ask here at the S4GRU Forum, is because I know the members here are very knowledgeable and I trust all of your opinions. Sent from my SM-N920P using Tapatalk
  14. My apologies to you AJ for wasting your time the time of the other members of the S4GRU staff...my only intention was to ask the members of S4GRU for their opinions and advice. If you feel that my post was 'out of line' then I will gladly remove it. Sent from my SM-N920P using Tapatalk
  15. Arysyn, Thank you for response and your good advice. My question, however is whether the Unlimited Freedom Plan is actually a better value for me than the old ED 1500 plan or if I should fight to switch back to the ED 1500. Thanks for your assistance. Sent from my SM-N920P using Tapatalk
  16. Let me start by saying...Please forgive me if I am posting this to the wrong thread, but I wasn't able to find the correct thread... The other day I while I was working with the Sprint Tech, to resolve the issues with my new Samsung Galaxy Note 5 properly connecting to the Sprint Network, the tech mentioned that I would be able to save about $50.00 per month by switching from the ED 1500 to the Unlimited Freedom plan. At the time spoke to the tech, I mentioned to the Tech that the new plan did sound good, but that wasn't sure I wanted to switch. This morning I just got an email from Sprint informing me that I have already been switched to the new Unlimited Freedom Plan. So my question is, should I just accept the plan change or should I fight with Sprint to get my ED 1500 plan restored ? Any guidance or assistance you all can provide would be greatly appreciated. 19. Hummm....so I sort of ran into the same problem yesterday... Unfortunately my beloved Nexus 6 "bit the dust" so Asuron shipped me a Samsung Galaxy Note 5. While it is working fine now, yesterday was a difficult story... So while I was on the phone with Tech Support about my issues receiving calls on my new Samsung Galaxy Note 5, I happened to mention that I wanted an upgraded Airave, and I was told twice that I wasn't eligible and then I was told that I had the wrong department. So your 'mikejeep'...what you said seems to be a good explanation as to the reason I seemed to have been stonewalled. Since this Samsung Galaxy Note 5 has Wi-Fi Calling, I may not need the Airave, but if it turns out that I do, I'll take your advice and wait a bit before I ask again.
