  1. For the first time getting LTE at work without forcing it. 16th mall and Lawrence. Speeds are abysmal but I'll take it as I know it'll only get better. 1.5 down 2.5 up on S5
  2. Even better speeds at work At Arapahoe and 16th st mall Sent from my SM-G900P using Tapatalk
  3. Ive had hope ever since I started following this thread, it's just nice seeing results in person. Calling and texting is still a little spotty in the house so I'll be ready for a WiFi calling update. Then it will be so long for the air rave. Thanks again for everyone's help. It'll be a sad/happy day when I no longer need to check this forum! Sent from my SM-G900P using Tapatalk
  4. Got my s5 and after speaking with tech support pretending my phone wasn't working for 20min he finally gave me the msl. I can finally contribute to this thread! I live on 13th and lipan and get terrible service without my air rave. Now with my s5 and forced lte I get this Sent from my SM-G900P using Tapatalk
  5. Anyone have the MSL code? Trying to force LTE in Denver since the csfb fix isn't finished yet
  6. Hello everyone, I know this is off topic but I am getting desperate. I just got my galaxy s5 and have searched everywhere on how to force LTE on it with no luck. Anyone know how to do this or where to find info? Thanks
  7. So are the 40+ sites dkoellerwx mentioned a joke too? That would be very cruel
  8. So i pre ordered my galaxy s5 today and a rep said it would be able to connect to wimax. I can't find anything on this elsewhere. Does anyone know if this is true? I know b41 is the same or similar to wimax but wasn't sure if a spark phone could connect to both. Thanks
  9. The other day I checked Sprint's website for mapping of LTE and they are showing an LTE 'dot' on Colorado Springs, does that mean it's completed?
  10. Is anyone working close to 16th street mall losing 3g today? I have completely lost connection a few times already, typically get full bars. Wondering if it's my ancient phone or maybe they are working on the towers? Fingers crossed for the latter.
  11. I made the mistake of defending sprint on a couple of their community forums (customer for 10+ years). The titles of the forums were something along the lines of "sprint service sucks" and "we should get money back for no LTE" now my inbox gets flooded with updates mostly of idiots complaining that their phones didn't work for a second and now they are switching carriers. They have absolutely no idea what they are talking about or what the new NV will look like. I really can't thank everyone here enough for being so positive and informative. I prefer intelligent, informative conversation rather than ALL CAPS complaining with 1 out of 5 words misspelled.
  12. Glad to see more mapping downtown on sensorly where I work. I'm guessing I'll just be waiting on my S5 to arrive and not worry about the NV upgrades because they will be completed by April 11th?
  13. That's odd, it does say the new network will be completed "in my area" so I figured they were cross referencing addresses or which cell tower I was connected to. Was it sent to people who are living in areas that aren't getting network upgrades?
  14. I received my "over the next month" text on January 30th and it seemed like most were getting it sooner, so if my area (Lincoln Park/Auraria campus) is the last to get updated I'm hoping Craig is right. It HAS to be in the next 2 weeks... right? Maybe on the 24th I'll get 2 presents, the network going live and the galaxy S5 specs
  15. I think you both are saying the same thing. "Make sure not to plug it in before the router" and "attach it behind the router"
  16. Sprint provided it to me. I've lived at 3 different places in Denver and I couldn't so much as send a text at all 3 locations. If it wasn't for the great price they have on unlimited data with no throttling I would have switched years ago. For about a year I didn't have internet or cell coverage and I was able to survive so I guess I'm not the type of person who starts throwing a fit if my phone doesn't work (see Louis C.K. standup). I think/hope it is primarily the phones I have had since moving here. I've read the htc evo 4g and the galaxy s2 typically get poor signals. Hopefully the s5 will be much better because i'm pretty much sold on it even though it hasn't been released.
  17. My airave does voice and data, I get a regular 3g signal and am able to use internet as if I had a strong 3g signal from a tower. But it doesn't really matter because my airave is hooked up to a wireless router so wifi is much faster.
  18. So are the CSFB (I still have no idea what that means, no need to explain though) upgrades going along with the LTE? Will Tri-band phones be able to use the 2.5 band while still being able to receive calls as soon as the LTE rollout is complete or will we be waiting for the CSFB? Thanks
  19. Looks like the s5 should be out soon, I might wait and see what that's all about, but I agree, the Nexus is a heck of a deal. If the s5 has a huge screen I'll probably go for the Nexus
  20. Awesome! Thanks guys, I thought I read that Denver is spark ready but I was struggling to find where I saw that. Now to decide which tri band phone to get. I want a "smaller" phone so the s4 or Nexus 5 will probably be my next phone. Any suggestions? Any Tri bands that are expected to be released soon that I should hold out for?
  21. First time poster here, I've been patiently waiting for this rollout in Denver and this forum has been extremely helpful. I would like to thank each and every contributor for their time and effort in informing everyone of what's going on. I've been waiting to upgrade my phone for months now, my galaxy s2 that I have had since the paleolithic era is on its last leg. The only reason I've kept it is for wimax which has been a life saver due to the weak 3g signals I get. Well now that LTE is around the corner, it's time to buy a new phone. My questions is whether or not I should get a tri-band phone. If Denver doesn't get spark in the next 2 years I can wait until then, if they are expected to get it sometime soon I would be willing to only look at the few phones that provide tri band. Does anyone have the faintest idea of when Denver should be getting spark?
