Hello everyone. I just picked up my new Moto X Pure on Friday and I am enjoying it very much (expect for the fact that I need a new SIM card so technically its not in service yet). I came from an old Samsung Note and decided to go with this phone after a lot of compliments and good reviews. While searching through S4GRU I found this thread... I haven't read through the posts yet but I hope there is some real world reviews and good stuff about this phone.

2 per sector is a good sign maybe they are adding B41 it takes a while for it to turn on I haven't noticed it there yet. A second B25 carrier should be live on some sites in Beckley.

Was told over the phone by tech support that the iPhone 5 is a 3G only device and the 9.2 update "accidentally" placed an "Enable LTE" toggle in the settings even though the device doesn't really have it. I know that tech support doesn't get a lot of information but that to me is flat out ridiculous.

 

 

 

As if you hadn't already assumed, my mothers iPhone 5 still cannot connect to LTE no matter what.

Wasn't the iPhone 4 LTE capable?

When I test using a Shentel server on Speedtest ap I get about 8mb down and 5mb up.

I did a ##update# after I noticed that I was only connecting with 1x. It did a reboot after the profilr/PRL update and connected right away.

Probably something like that. I've just came back from Michigan and of course I had LTE everywhere except WV. Thinking about calling CC but doubt they will be any help.

Have you tried PRL updates/ changing it to LTE mode? I did that on my Aunts S6 and after a restart it connected immediately

Yea... I've checked all the settings and did a profile / prl update. It rebooted automatically and came back up, did a software update (!) and rebooted again and still nothing. Network mode is CDMA/LTE only.

My wife told me that she has LTE in uptown beckley as of today. I'll check it tonight when I get home. She has an iPhone 6 on Sprint.

I drove through Huntington today and never picked up any LTE signal even in the areas that were mapped out with LTE I n sensorly. :-(

Must not be all of West Virginia cause it's not in Beckley. It'll probably happen after the merger closes in January like everyone here has said all along.
