Robert, when a site has been accepted does that mean LTE is coming to those sites soon?
Sent from my SPH-L710 using Tapatalk 2
Not sure what you're asking...
If a site is accepted for 4G, the LTE could be active immediately or be blocked for testing. If the market is launched, it will have a better chance of not being blocked, but most sites go live and accept connections right off the bat.
If a site is accepted for 3G only, it has to be upgraded and accepted for 4G before you will likely see LTE coming from it.
Sprint accepts the completed work. They don't accept the site for work to start on it.
Does that answer your question?

How is it that even metro pcs has more lte coverage in Orlando than sprint .... Thats really disappointing
Maybe because Sprint is nationwide... Where metro has a very limited coverage area...

I also requested an invite. I have a feeling I will lose interest by the time it actually comes...

Wouldn't let me post more than one pic. First screenshot in previous post was in west kensington (north Philly ) this second one is center city Philadelphia and I got 71 ms ping 1801 kbps DL 707kbps UL . Third in west Philly 75ms ping 1754 kbps DL and 869 kbps UL..
The user storage is set low to save on Web hosting fees. I have photo bucket upload everything automatically, then I link to the picture. It takes another step, but it's worth it to not have ads.

I deleted your rant. I also privately notified you. There is a search function on this forum, you can use it to find a lot of information regarding Phoenix.

A re brand is not going to make anyone forget about Sprint's Network issues. AT&T became Cingular, only to become AT&T again. Nobody forgot about their garbage network because they changed their name.

You can't connect to it, so you call it blocked, I'll call it off, it's still not able to be used so for all intents and purposes, it's off.
It is blocked. You can call it whatever you want outside this website, but if it is going to be discussed on s4gru, you should use the proper terminology.

Sadly I have enough exposure to Android thru my workplace and have determined that something about the touch interface is incompatible with my skin. I can hardly type on them - it's like the chemistry in my skin/oil makeup doesn't allow me to type like a normal human. If I type "hi there" on an droid phone it comes out russian like "ceeakaeeopeeectate" or the like. It's bizarre. iPhone, no problemo.
Wait, did you say you wear makeup? LOL

Wow, exaggerate much?
No

You think those things are cheap? And do you want them having any chance of interference because the military has to cut back on their use of spectrum? For the US cell operators to warehouse some more spectrum?
Edit: and that is just the tip of the iceburg. The government is utilizing their spectrum far more than the civilian sector is.

If members have a problem with the way the staff handle a situation, I think the proper way to deal with it would be to PRIVATE MESSAGE them with the concerns. I've had about enough of the general lack of respect the community has for the staff.
Publically questioning the actions of moderators and the site Admin is unacceptable, especially in the general forums. I don't care if it is done with tact or not.
It's all about respect...

Way too much information...
-
I understand it is for military, I agree it wouldn't be easy, but safe i disagree with. You can maintain current levels and consolidate spectrum between branches of the military and/or government. You cut the Government reserved prime spectrum by 15% and then sell off the "Prime Real Estate" to mobile vendors. Put that money towards the budget or deficit.
And then what happens when multi million dollar UAVs start crashing because of interference? There goes your savings and likely national security.
-
Does the government really need/use all that "exclusive" spectrum? Rather than give up more OTA TV, how about the Feds look internally for some spectrum to auction?
A lot is for military use, and no, it wouldn't be easy or safe to give it up.

I tried printing this off a while back, it didn't work so well...

Ah, all gone... Mods, always ruining the fun

Only problem is, I don't ever see these phones. Haven't really seen one in the store either unless it is stuck off in some corner. That is a huge problem as no people equals no devs equals no apps equals no people want the phone. Just goes round and round. Hard to break the cycle at this time. -- "Sensorly or it didn't happen!"
Microsoft and Nokia were trying hard to change that, but it is going to be really difficult for any platform to try to catch on against iOS and Android at this point with the mature ecosystems they both boast. Microsoft is going to have to look long term and throw money at the mobile platform until they hit at least 15-20% market share, then they can start expecting a return.
They were going to spend millions on additional commissions for AT&T, they should extend that to VZW and Sprint too.
I will say this though. I walked into the local VZW store (corporate) and the Windows phones were the first display on the left side of the store (which is where the iPhones used to reside) They also had them on a display showcasing the wireless charging capability even though the Droid DNA had no wireless charger anywhere near it... It will be interesting to see the end of year numbers to see if WP is gaining any ground.

The only one I have tried was my brothers Play for about 5 minutes. I don't think it would be fair of me to judge Sony's phones based off of that one experience. That phone is pretty awful.

Never used a play... Cant imagine it would be that useful as anything but a gamepad first, phone second.
-
Sony very rarely makes CDMA phones for the US. I think the last was Xperia Play for VZW.

Tis a shame too. Their lineup keeps getting better all the time. And they are developer friendly.

Wait, what? Summer? Windows phone might be dead to rights by Summer. I'm surprised that MS didn't push for this to be sooner, A LOT sooner! And no Nokia... even big red has a Nokia model.
-
I will likely pick up the first Windows Phone device to hit Sprint. I'm interested in checking it out and putting it through our testing rigmarole.
Robert
I am not surprised by this... LOL

So I was checking out sensorly the other day and it says that there have been reportings of LTE near my work in Forest Lake. So I tried to do the sensorly speed test on my phone and it said it was testing cdma/ehrpd. Does this mean that they are finally putting the lte network on the local towers. I have only had time to look on the site a little bit but just wanted to make sure.
Yes, Network Vision rollout is underway in Minnesota.
Please use the market thread http://s4gru.com/index.php?/topic/1693-network-visionlte-minnesota-market/ for market specific questions vs. creating a new thread just to ask a question.

Um.... factory reset! I can't believe you would resist resetting this long. It might be slightly inconvient, but it is really important to reset when changing generations in Android (ICS to JB).
