Lots of homes and business hidden up that canyon. And millions of tourists year round. It would be good for Sprint to do it.
That's absolutely true. If you have some ears you can whisper into or some strings you could pull to help make that happen I wouldn't be upset lol.

I lived in Northern Nevada and worked in Tahoe for years. I left in 2010. Signal up Kingsbury was always a pain on all providers, some worse than others. Someone may have gotten better since 2010. But Verizon, AT&T and Sprint all lost service in many parts driving up the Grade back then. I never used Tmo going over Kingsbury before though. But they are not likely better.
They told me that AT&T works the best though they get roaming signal with Verizon when the Airave goes out here and there. Again they are generally happy with Sprint as no provider is perfect in South lake. I think if Sprint started to deploy some band 26 they could really steal the show from the other guys.

South lake Tahoe needs LTE asap and I won't be surprised if they need b41 cause 3g is almost unusable...
My sister and her husband have felt the pain in South lake for years now. They are generally happy with Sprint as they can make calls around town but in their home (up Kingsbury Grade Rd) they have to use an Airave for calls or 3G though they use their Wi-Fi at home for data. I had a glimmer of hope for them a long time ago when LTE seemed to arrive but they never got it up and running. No back haul I guess.

I need help with wifi calling. I am abroad right now. And i have activated wifi calling on my account and have it correctly setup on my phone. I wven have the handset and signal level icon on left top of the screen. Whenever i try to make a call, as soon as click on dial button, call screen turns orange and "wifi call ended".
Any suggestion on how to get this to work?
Thanks in advance.
Maybe try downloading the google hangouts dialer from the playstore and make calls using that for now? You might have to dial +1 then the phone number for it to work.

Are there any Sprint phones that currently support carrier aggregation?

Just got my Note 4 a couple days ago. Went to Trader Joe's in elk grove this morning and got 20+mbps LTE. Checked on signal check pro and wasn't on B41 or 26. Note 2 never got lte in that parking lot. Is note 4 getting wrong results on the app or just better at picking up B25 LTE?

How's everyone's WiFi calling experience?
Sent from my SM-N910P using Tapatalk
Over my home DSL line 12mbps/1.5mbps it sounded crystal clear though I only used it for a few minutes to try it out. Also called via downloading the dialer app on Google hangouts. Made a longer call on that over LTE and it was perfectly clear. I'd say both methods actually sounded superior to a call over the Sprint network.

I think I just got a little ripped off. I bought a $30 Craigslist phone (Samsung Admire for Metro PCS). Seemed to work perfect at the time but power button is hit or miss to turn screen off (mostly miss). Everything on the phone works besides this. Was gonna use it for the $200 off promotion. Anyone know if I'm going to have to use a different phone?

Would b26 have to be enabled in order to connect LTE 800?
No, you don't have any control of that unless you take special steps to go deep into settings and over-ride what's there already. Otherwise your phone will connect to LTE 800 when it needs to (assuming you have a Spark phone).

milan03 not disagreeing with any of that. Not saying Hesse should be the man either. I just stated facts about Legere. Not the best track record.

Dan is 60 years old and likely has tens of millions of dollars in the bank. He can do almost whatever he wants with the rest of his life.
If I were even 40 years old and had even $1 million in the bank, I would mostly stop working and more seriously start pursuing my interests. I could afford top notch gear for pro photography or test bench equipment for audio/video component measurements.
And the funny thing is that -- when you have money and are not concerned about making more money -- you often find yourself in the position to make more money. I could probably earn a fair sum publishing my photos and/or my A/V component test bench results.
It might be worth it if Legere, who has repeatedly slandered Sprint, has to make an about face and spin Sprint into something positive. Yep, Legere just might have to sit and spin.
AJ
Yeah Legere, the guy who drove Global Crossing into bankruptcy after being their CEO for 10 years and is doing the pump and dump with T-Mobile. I don't think it's worth his sit and spin.

Well I guess it's all about the new DAC they use in this phone. I don't know about the particular DAC they use but in general a good digital to analog converter makes a big different in an audio device. If you want an easy explanation on DAC this is a good video:

Who's thinking of buying this phone?

Hum, I wonder if they'll really replace Dan Hesse like this article says: http://finance.yahoo.com/news/sprint-going-try-buy-t-214918690.html

All good info. Thanks guys. I'm not far from the Sacramento border but I live in Elk Grove. It seems like we're progressing nicely in Elk Grove so I don't care much about how slow Sacramento is moving though it would be nice to see some work being done there. It's fun watching things happen in the Sponsor Forums

Sprint gave no time table.
I don't want to beat a dead horse but the last day of Summer is September 21st. That's 5 months away. Do you think California will be done with NV 1.0 by then?
-
What's the difference between nv 1.0 and nv 2.0?
Look at the 2nd post by twospirits: http://s4gru.com/index.php?/topic/1704-frequently-asked-questions/

Video says no voice and data at the same time on Spark devices but that you can do that with older Sprint LTE phones:
Is this completely accurate or are they missing some points? Seems like they don't have the whole story but I'm not sure.
-
I never thought this day would come. So does this mean that ALL of Elk Grove is NV 3G accepted or only a certain area?
You should be a sponsor. Totally worth it! If you can't afford Premier Sponsorship at least be a regular Sponsor for $10-$15 donation.

Just so y'all know, this summer I would be lucky to have gotten 10 kilobytes down in my house. Good stuff!
At first I thought that was 200kbps but then I realized you were getting 2mbps which is pretty awesome for 3G. You should change your settings to show results in mbps.

South Lake Tahoe cluster haven't even been fired up yet.
Yeah I guess I should have asked about an ETA on that instead.

My home internet is slow dsl but Wi-Fi calling works perfect for me. I think it sounds even better than a strong Sprint signal.
