  1. I think Marcelo would benefit just as much from doing a listening tour to his retail stores, web team, and social media/PR team.

He should go to the top performing stores in regions to learn what works... and the lowest performing stores to learn what doesn't. And if changes need to be made in personnel, procedure, whatever.... make them within 24 hours.

At the risk of repeating myself, have him use one of the in-store sales terminals. Have him convince a customer to get TEP. All these things that work in theory in the boardroom or cubicle, he needs to experience them on the ground.

Right after I graduated from College I worked in the CS call center for a financial company for a while.  One thing I always thought was impressive was that every so often the CEO of the company would come around and talk to us and then get on the phones and take calls from customers for an hour.  Also on days when we would be getting slammed with calls it was not uncommon for senior managers and directors to come out of their offices and jump on the phones to take calls.  That type of stuff always impressed me.  And I know some direct changes came about based on our CEO's experiences taking calls.

  2. You were responding to at least the two posts directly prior to yours. For context, I also should have quoted this portion.

By saying that is "sanity," you are implying that being a fan of a wireless provider is insanity.  But I pointed out that if there were no people here who are fans of Sprint, there would be no S4GRU.  The staff, in particular, has legitimate reasons to be fans of Sprint -- because of the thousands of hours of pro bono work that we do.  If we stopped being fans of Sprint, the work would stop, too.

I think you might have taken my post the wrong way AJ.  I respect the work that the admins of this site do, and if this site did not exist, I probably would have never considered Sprint.  I guess what I was addressing was the garbage that litters the comment sections on many popular blogs and industry sites that are full of name calling and blind loyalty to one carrier or another mainly driven by marketing and cult of personality.  I like Sprint, I support Sprint, but i don't belittle others who choose another carrier that works for them.  Perhaps a poor choice of words on my part.

  3. Bingo unless you work for a carrier - they all have a motive and it's not being our friend.

Exactly! That why I don't understand carrier fanboys. All the carriers have one goal and that is to get as much of my money as possible. Use whoever works best for you and your situation period. I could care less what carrier anybody uses. I use sprint right now because it works well where I use my phone 99% of the time and offers me the best value for my needs. If another carrier comes along and offers a better value, I will give them a look. But I don't spend a lot of time worrying about it.

  4. I went ahead and made the switch from Framily to Better Choice this morning via chat.  Framily was a great deal, but I have been losing members at a fairly good clip recently, and adding new members has become more and more difficult, so I am happy to have moved on.  And just if you were wondering, according to the chat rep the data portion of the plan is discountable.  The access fees are not.  So with discount 12GB of shared data for 2 lines with hotspot included for $89, I'm happy.

  5. I'm wondering if something is up.  As of a month ago if I lost a member I could go to reddit and fill the spot within 24-48 hrs.  Last week I lost one member and I have not been able to fill it.  Usually if you post on reddit with a Framily at 9/10 it usually fills fast.  It's possible whatever loophole folks were using has been closed.  It was my understanding that most of the codes posted online were being used by reps.

  6. Does seem to be an issue with 9.3. Downgraded and things are fine now. Once my phone got a B41 signal it locked on even when it was unusable. -119 range. It became very annoying. Hope that gets sorted out before the final build. I don't know why they keep messing with the radios.

9.3 public beta 2 seems to have fixed this issue. Been using for the past hour and my phone has not been parking on B41. For the record carrier version is 23.5.3

  8. Anybody on the 9.3 beta experiencing LTE issues? Since the update when I am at home it seems to lock onto a very weak B41 signal that is basically useless. I have to turn LTE off and use 3G. Probably going to downgrade as I was having no issue before the update.

  10. Yea takes like an extra 10 minutes. Not a big deal really.

Put your code on reddit. They fill fast there and is my go to place to get codes to close sales. Just sucks that framily only works if they dont need contract buy out.

Second putting your code on Reddit.  Recently had a spot on ours open up and posted it there and within a couple of days we were full again.

  11. I didn't see it as an article on Vox - yet. Not that I don't feel it will in a day or two...

that said - its not too far stretched. Again I don't see it happening - unless its what SoftBank wants....

No way a "total collapse" happens. Sprint would be allowed to merge with another carrier before a collapse was allowed. I just don't see the FCC allowing Sprint to just collapse.

  12. Yeah, and they are trying to purge that like the Dickens. I wouldn't say never. But if they offered a straight up $45 unlimited plan for Tmo customers only, it would cause complete mayhem. And they are also trying to get people to willingly to accept tiered plans. So I would be surprised. But if that happened, it would mean Sprint was desperate is for new customers.

I actually wish they would give me an incentive to get off framily. I know it won't last forever as people drop off, but compared to current plans I would have to lose half my members before it really makes sense. If they would make a deal to move my two lines to family share and waive the access fees I would consider for the hotspot benefit. I would be paying more and be happy. Win Win.
