I'm referring to the bands. I've seen that Sprint is 900 and a couple phones on Sprint with say 800 band. Maybe the specs on some phones are incorrect.

Hey, are 800, 850 and 900 the same thing at all? 

I'm not sure if I have WiMax on my phone. Whatever it uses, sucks. After having two people on this website tell me to consider other phones over the iPhone 5s and look at the bands, I checked into it. What I've found is the LG G2 will probably be awesome as will the HTC One Max. I'd consider the Google Nexus 5 also because it would get Android updates immediately.

I did find something confusing. I keep saying both 2500 and 2600 bands all over. Sprint says one thing and a bunch of those phones say another. Are they one in the same?

Good to know. I think I'm just stuck to the thought that the iPhone is the best phone. It's good but I want the best signal possible and if that's not the iPhone then so be it. I'm fine with sticking to Android. 

I have the Samsung Galaxy S2 and it's a problematic phone including a pretty bad reception issue. I'm getting the iPhone when I have the chance but I'm wondering how much better the reception will be? I'm Salt Lake where 4G hasn't come yet and I was going to switch to Verizon for a better signal but I have a feeling the iPhone will be better on Sprint and if it is I can wait until 4G comes. 

Your thoughts?

So the more bands you can get, the better off you are? I didn't know if a higher GHz is better than lower ones and a higher band meant a better signal. I'm seriously as new to this as you can be. 

So band 41 on 2.5 GHz is the best band to have and the iPhone may not be the best phone for Sprint in the future? The HTC one and Moto X seem nice. 

You guys are using terms I've never heard of and I'm having fun looking them up. I've learned more about Sprint and its service in the last day I've been on this forum than from ever going into the Sprint store.

What other phones are great on Sprint and is Sprint making moves to improve their network in the future? WiMax was a gamble that didn't work out for them. 

Ivanders, thanks a ton for the insight.I honestly don't care what Sprint does to improve the service, I just want better service. The S GS2 honestly just sucks. The signal will drop quite often for no reason. I actually complained to the FCC about my issues.

I'll stay with Spring if it gets better and I think it will. I'm just playing the patience game right now.

I'm located in South Jordan. All of my neighbors who have Sprint have talked about how bad the service is. One funny thing about my neighborhood is that on the Sprint coverage map it shows my neighborhood drop from good to fair coverage. Weird. I was planning on going to Verizon but I'm on a family plan. I know that Sprint people will try to sell you on the service. What I've seen from other users in other states with 4G gives me hope. 

I know that my phone specifically is bad because I've read other stuff about how poor the reception and signal are. I have a family member on the same Sprint family plan with an iPhone and their phone was much better with the signal. 

I also have an Airave in my house. I was considering trying an iPhone when I have an upgrade to see how well it does and if its not a big improvement, then switch to Verizon. 

I want a good phone and good service so the 2 year contract don't seem like an eternity.

I just joined this forum and I'm really excited because everyone on here has more info than the average Sprint rep. Sometimes they don't know, other times they can't say anything. 

A month ago I was planning on quitting Sprint because my signal everywhere was bad and the signal is almost non existent in my neighborhood. I found out that my phone sucks S GS2 and I plan on getting the iPhone which should rectify the situation. I'm hoping that 4G improves the coverage significantly enough to actually cover my neighborhood.
