  2. This is too funny. As fate would have it, someone flipped the switch. My backyard gets an LTE signal and the front of the house is 3G. At least it shows progress. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  3. Thanks for clarifying. Next time I have an issue with my network I know where to come first. Here's hoping they turn on an iPhone compatible LTE band soon. Relatively close to Newark. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  4. Thanks very much! Starting to make sense now. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  5. I'm not convinced that Newark, NJ, Paterson, NJ LTE is available. I work in Newark and I drive through a highway that puts me through Paterson or "close enough" at times and I'm not getting a reliable LTE data signal. I think it's probably more in a testing phase right now and not formally deployed.
  6. Thank you very much for your information. I wish that something like this could have been presented to me at the customer service level instead of blind promises. I'm very pleased with the voice portion of my service. I very rarely drop calls. But the data is absolutely driving me crazy. I will wait it out at the request of my family which the data speed doesn't matter to them. So. Hopefully my 5S can start using LTE sooner rather than later. Why does Sprint turn on the 4G as they complete the refit? Why wait? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  7. Bummer. At least you saw it. LTE is a myth and legend in my parts about 10 miles west of you off of Route 3.
  8. Here's an image from sensorly with the area I'm talking about. Route 3 is near the top of the screen and runs east-west, route 21 runs north to south and runs into route 3. It appears that there are "3 bars of darkness" for a majority of this area. I don't really expect to get LTE in the areas that are very faint because it's still getting rolled out, but I at least expected something. On the ride I almost always have 5 full bars of service, with 4 bars on occasion. But, the data speed is still sorely lacking. I can't use instant-streaming apps like IHeartRadio or iTunes Radio, and while I can use Spotify it takes a long time to get buffering and will get interrupted about every other song. Thoughts? Edit: Sorry it's so small. Not sure how I did that. I can try and make a larger image if that's too hard to read.
  9. I'm sorry but I just don't think the Sensorly maps are accurate. I'm in Zip Code 07110, and I drive on McCarter Highway (Route 21) south through Newark and according to the map both it and Route 3 (near Clifton) both east and west don't have any LTE/4G. I'm still on crappy 3G, My latest SpeedTest from Ookla is around 0.05 Mbps download and 0.05 Mbps upload. I've done a few Service Updates but nothing. Yes, LTE is enabled in iOS7. Anyone have any suggestions? Heh. I bought the i5S with the expectation that I'd at least have (slower) 4G LTE, and I'm still stuck on lousy Sprint 3G.
