  1. I was driving the other day past the Loomis Rd / I-894 tower...just as a previous poster highlighted a few days ago, this location is back broadcasting LTE after some upgrade issues forced Sprint to tak it "offline" (per a Technical Support rep from Sprint). I also got blazing fast speeds from it... http://www.speedtest.net/my-result/a/628436751
  2. Interesting story on the Fox 6 website about AT&T activating a new 4G tower in Oak Creek...it also mentions their efforts to improve their network. If Sprint had any brains they would be using the media to show off their improvements..at the very least it is a great PR move. http://fox6now.com/2013/10/17/att-expands-4g-network-in-oak-creek/
  3. The Loomis Rd tower has had all kinds of issues. ..I have nit noticed it broadcastibg LTE fir a few weeks now
  4. OK..thanks..I was way off on my thinking there. Not only did I believe the shorter of the two towers in that location was Sprint, I also thought it was 4G. Makes perfect sense that it is not LTE yet though seeing how the 4G signal vanishes when you go 1 block south (that would be some pathetic range).
  5. So, this tower is NOT broadcasting LTE then? Also, I see from your pictures that those are ATT signs...sure that is for Sprint?
  6. I get 4g LTE near 92nd and Beloit..assumed that tower there (the shorter one of the two towers there) was broadcasting LTE
  7. Kind of some bad LTE news to report. I placed a call to the top tier tech support today (well, actually got transferred there after the customer resolution dept couldn't help me). Anyways...the towers around 108th and Layton are not scheduled for LTE upgrade within the next 30 days. Not entirely sure how accurate this is though since he mentioned that the 124th and Beloit road tower hadn't received any equipment updates but I seem to recall someone here mentioning speaking to some workers' at this site location..??? The tech support guy did seem to know what he was talking about though..and even appeared to be from the USA.
  8. so as far as Milwaukee goes, this would cover the western and southern suburbs..very small portion of the actual city itself. thank you for the clarification...I can close my mapquest page now...
  9. actually, it only travels East - West for about 4 miles regardless, you are correct..I am sure he meant to say I-94 or maybe was just referring to the brief East - West portion I mentioned above who the heck knows...
  10. It was a Galaxy S3 Signal Check showed 1 x 800 (must have been only for the voice then?) I was just amazed that a Sprint signal penetrated a building...and worked
  11. If this guys job is to test the signals by driving and he doesnt know what highways he is on it would lead to me to believe that the information he is providing is not very accurate. then again, we have all mis-spoken a few times in our lives.. I guess time will tell.
  12. In Schaumburg, IL a few days ago I ran a speed test..got these amazing speeds, and I was in a basement in a building that was surrounded by lots of tall, thick trees. I suspect this is the 1X800 signal penetration ability? 15.97 download 8.74 upload WOW
  13. Please explain this location..I-43 is a north / south interstate...how can a location be south of a road that is already running N/S? thanks...
  14. a bit off topic here..i apologize..but, is there anyone here who can provide me with contact information for someone at the corporate level. I am sick and tired of dealing with the lame customer service reps...none of them can help me. Thanks..
  15. OK..then I suspect i am pulling my signal from the tower near 124th and Beloit road...just as I originally suspected Basically, the app is useless to me then..owe well..$1.99 wont kill me
