I personally feel that Sprint should be a partner with Google since they have really been pushing for a consolidation for scale to compete against the duopoly of Verizon and AT&T. Masayoshi Son wants to lower the price and offer faster speeds, and who better than Google to keep them in check. Since personally VZW is against net neutrality while Larry Page is for it strongly. It really seems that they won't we a really strong partner at all. While Sprint is intrigued to bring internet speeds through wireless up to 200mb/s. I personally can write an article about this. Though I want to hear everyones personal thoughts.

If lte connection is your only concern, especially if you are on the edge of service(lte) then it's a no brainer to keep the n5 but if you are in an area that's reasonably covered then the m8 is a great device to own. Now I carry two devices at all times but it would take an act of God for me to get rid of my n5 because of it's RF performance but overall I definitely like the m8 a lot more.
Yea I really like the design and build of the m8. Gahh idk I might be suckered to get it.

Is the rf still usable even though it lacks than the nexus 5 since I have a nexus 5 currently don't want to have slow 3G since in my area 3G is not even usable.

This is so good! Having this alliance would be beneficial for build out. And if a merge with T-mo does happen the phone will support both networks now
-
Does the phone out of the box have the tri-band support or does it have to be updated like the Nexus 5 cause I am still waiting for this update!
-
I was reading a recent article about how Sprint is working with rural carriers to basically share the networks and phones that will be release in the near future will have the tri-band, 700mhz and aws bands. So is this going to help merger since that would help with the different technology?

Waiting sucks

I wonder if the ecsfb has finished in east side San Jose California I temporarily returned my nexus 5 waiting till the spark update comes out. Was thinking about going to tmobile for a moment, but I can wait I am no hurry and better to stay with the future great network and tell people I told you so haha!

When is South Bay Area going to be announced? I know they are a second round market compared to At&t and T-Mobile, but I just want to know an eta.
-
Oh that sucks. Thanks for the fast reply!

Hi, I was just wondering if I had an old clearwire modem/Router would work on the TDD LTE network? Please let me know because I have one and at my work there is a tower that is activated already.
-
Thanks! I will be looking forward to it and hopefully more band 41 will be completed!
South Bay 3G deployment is straggling. But I'm told most of the sites are complete/nearing completion. Some cluster launches should not be very far off. But it could be a month still.

Man east side San Jose, ca still has ecsfb issues. Think I am going to return my nexus 5 till everything is finalized.
-
Hi everyone,
I was wondering if anyone has any update on when the ecsfb problem will be fixed here? Thanks!
-
I hope they fix this issue soon for San Jose my iPhone gets LTE but on my nexus 5 nothing
-
If it is indeed just a software update at the MSC why not just push it out? I understand there may be some hurdles but do we know of any?
I agree cause I want to keep my N5 and use it with regular LTE but I am leaning more towardsgoing back to the iPhone because of it and don't know how long it is going to take

Oh OK thanks! Dang maybe I should return my phone and just wait then.

8s the eCSFB problem for all tri-band phones or is it only happening to the nexus 5 and g2? I was just wondering because I usually can connect to LTE on my iPhone but now with the nexus 5 I can't and that is very saddening. So if it is just a problem on the g2 and n5 I might get a different phone.
-
Sorry I mean eCSFB

Man does anyone know when San Jose would get that eHRPD thing to work cause I use to have an iPhone and get LTE, but now stuck on 3g.

Does this work for people that are currently sprint customers with a contract? Since I want to just break out of mine to take advantage of the framily plan without paying the 15$ monthly switch to it with a contract
