  1. iPhones have been able to be unlocked for quite some time.. pretty sure since at least the 4s... but definately the 5 and newer.. 5s and 5c.. so I doubt this will change now with the even broader support of world networks in the iP6... right now they already show the iP6 as unlockable

    Only unlocks for international use.

Depends, you should be able to use your iPhone 5S from Verizon without any problems on AT&T's network. The same goes for using it on T-Mobile's network.  All you have to do is pop out the SIM card and replace it with one from AT&T. The phone will not only be able to operate over AT&T's GSM-based voice and text messaging network, but you should also be able to get 4G LTE speeds on the phone. You can't do this with a Sprint iPhone because they use GSM obviously ( and Sprint doesnt ).. but an ATT iPhone will NOT work on Verizon because it has no CDMA.   Talk is  more interoperability is coming due to AWS spectrum..

In addition, to those technical limitations when it comes to device interoperability, there's also another barrier: carrier software locks. This is additional software that's been added to the devices at the carrier's request, which locks the device to a particular carrier. The locks can be lifted with special codes you can get from the carrier. A new law signed by President Obama dictates that carriers are required to provide these unlock codes to customers who own their phones and are out of contract.

So the Sprint iPhone 5S will work with T-Mobile and AT&T

  3. I'm scratching my head as to why Samsung is taking over a month to ship the Note 4. The iPhone 6+ or whatever it will be called will be in stores before then!

I can see a delay in the Edge model, but not the regular Note.

Apple does things differently than most companies. They mass produce before announcement and ship them out on announcement date which takes about a week to get to so many locations. That is why Apple is one of the best at doing that.

  4. If I recall, a certain other US carrier hasn't exactly been massively profitable either......

T-Mobile turned a profit in Q2 (a very small one) and turned an even smaller loss in Q1. As of right now, they still have a very small net profit this year.

More or less they are breaking even. Sprint is in nearly the same boat with very small profits for Q1 and Q2.

Yea I know was just saying. Never said sprint isn't losing money. However I believe that Sprint has big potential for long term as for T-Mobile has no cash infusion and is in a tough spot since DT wants to leave the US market.

  5. The Unlimited Guaranteed for life was a limited time promotion. If you signed up for it and you keep that plan, you've got unlimited for life. They never said they were going to come out with new plans forever for people. And that every future unlimited plan would comply.

I understand that but I been keeping my plan before the unlimited guaranteed came out so that means once they go to tiered then I have no unlimited anymore. Right?

  6. I was just wondering about the article FierceWireless has just posted about ending Unlimited Guaranteed for new customers and customers with the Unlimited My Way plans only have that benefit. However, in my case, I am an old customer that didn't switch to the Unlimited My Way plan when that came out and my contract is ending soon, so if Sprint ever does stop unlimited data, does that mean I am not guaranteed unlimited anymore?
