  1. Yes, going crazy, was in the Bay Area over the weekend, blanketed by glorious LTE. This is incredibly frustrating to return home to our "normal" service. Really incredible up there, able to upload video on the fly and everything's a breeze. our hotel had free wifi and didn't even use it for the phone. Much easier on your battery as well. Get this done already!
  2. WOW! This is going to be awhile, but worth it, having tried it in the Bay Area and LA/OC. The difference is incredible!
  3. I've definitely seen work going on in Fresno/Clovis but no obvious imiprovement. It does seem consistently less sucky though in most parts of the city. Tonight I had 1x though for about an hour (no 3G) at my house. Hopefully that might be a sign they are working on something but ..... that's happened a lot in the past, just not for awhile.
  4. Hopefully soon, it was about a year ago though I honestly was thinking it would be "anytime" now. LOL!
  5. . There were some trucks at Ashlan and Clovis agaain esterday but they turned out to be doing some landscaping/ brush clearance. LOL!
  6. They have been working at Ashlan and Clovis even longer. Not sure why it is taking so incredibly long!
  7. All kinds of work @ Ashlan and Ceder again today. Up on the lift abd 4 trucks. Getting petty impatient! Lol!
  8. I actually have to work out of the convention center every year at the NAMM show and it was awesome to be able to upload videos right from the show floor! The year before I couldn't even make a call and texts were severely delayed!
  9. The only place I had problems in the convention center during the NAMM show was in Hall A and the arena which weren't good. I take it that event was at that end. Totally forgot about that as I was hardly in that area but yeah, it wasn't working over there. Also a trick I've used in the parks is there is "open" wifi in the Disney hotels and also at the new Starbucks in Downtown Disney if you really need to send photos or something, this works. There are Starbucks in each park now but they unfortunately do not offer wifi.
  10. Based on the trucks I'd say there's a several subcontractors, haven't seen any similarities at all, mostly pickup trucks and no continuity to them at all. From what I've seen they show up with 20-5 trucks. Hope that helps?
  11. More Ashlan and Cedar Fun. OK my memory could be off but I think there were only 2 panels up here a couple days ago and when I drove by this morning (again running late so just a very quick glance) they had the ez up "up" and the panels were off the tower entirely.
  12. Yes, Disneyland can be brutal but it is exceptionally better than a year or so ago! There are some defnite dead spots, especially at Disneyland, California Adventure overall is not bad at all and LTE almost everywhere. I was shocked this past January at the NAMM show / convention at the convention center (accross Katella from California Advanture) and I was able to upload videos to my work website with no problems at all. In past years you could barely make a phone call and realistically couldn't do anything via 3G. Incredibly better. When you combine the crowds of the parks and the crowds of that convention (upwards of 50,000 people) it's pretty amazing it works at all.
  13. Yes, mistook some very big loose cables for panels when driving by this morning, stopped by up close on the way home, From the street it looked like panels hanging up there, the "EZ up is still there" so hopefully very, very soon. There were also lots of folded down cardboard boxes stacked behind the tower so there's no equipment there for sure.
  14. This morning they have a big hoe digging around Clovis and Ashlan tower and are definitely putting the new panels up at Cedar and Ashlan!
  15. And Ashlan ave at Clovis Ave. with more progress today also, they appear to be connecting a new large Black box with whatever's in the little room at the base of the tower. Reminder, the photos below are hot, hot, hot. Please check your own id to make sure you are old enough to see them. Here is a better photo of the box they have installed up on the tower, these appeared a couple weeks ago but I found a bettter location to get the photo from. Llittle buidling at the base of the tower. Door is open and they are poulling cable into it. Sorry couldn't get closer from this side.
  16. LOL! They have been slowly replacing lots of poles in the area, they are getting really old and rotten over there!
  17. We can hope it's sooner than later! The thing that struck me is that it has been about a year that we've been hoping for anytime now or the popular within the next 90 days. I have actually witnessed quite a bit of work lately (they were at Ashlan and Cedar again today but already 10 minutes late for work so no photos, sorry). I will say I had no idea they had to go to what seems like each and every tower so often, they've been at the one by my house more than a dozen times and still no LTE. There are some crazy high 3g speeds for brief times (for Sprint anyway with over 2 mbs.) but it never seems to last more than about 10 minutes and drops right back down to around 500-800kbs. \ I will say for the past 6 months or so the signal is at least usable almost always in this neighborhood and even at my work place in central Fresno and you can read emails, download stuff (eventually) and even watch you tube (not in high quality mode). Haven't dropped a call in I don't know how long but last trip to LA the LTE was amazing!
  18. There is a new box mounted up on this tower that I'm pretty darn sure wasn't there a couple days ago. Clovis Ave. @ Ashlan
  19. Also if you stick with HTC, I am really loving the front facing boom sound speakers! WOW! (just a thought).
  20. WOW! Cool, I was there pretty early this morning. No signal improvement there yet for sure.
  21. Lots of activity this morning! Fresno: Ashlan and Ceder Also several trucks at Clovis ave and Dakota (sorry no time to stop and get photos). Hopefully getting closer ....
