  1. Edit: They just got a brand new Forester about 2 months ago also. That thing is the most comfortable SUV I've been in(for the back row of seats), it also has a nice amount of carrying room in the back. They've been averaging 36 mixed highway and city miles in it.

I think your friend is bad at math. There is no way a Forester (US version) is getting 36MPG in mixed driving. Not happening. They are better than the older ones which were total pigs but not that good.

Now if Subaru would allow me to have one with a turbo diesel like they sell everywhere else in the world I'd be all over that.

  2. I'm getting sporadic 4G signal in the 3 to 5 bar range in my living room in Hillsborough. It can't be long now before it's official.

For the past few days there has been work going on at the site on Rt. 206 South near Camplain Rd. Not sure if it's Sprint for sure as all the carriers seem to be on it but I'm hoping since it's one of the turd sites.

  3. Maybe they shouldn't be doing any marketing right now and invest it in their network.  When the network is rebuilt - go bonanza on the biggest marketing push ever.

Well they need to market to keep their name out there but they need a better message. They have been horrible for years. Either aimless ads or talking about unlimited data while offering dial up speeds that people saw right through. Campaigns like "Can You Hear Me Now?, "Reliable" and "More Bars in More Places" resonated with customers and were effective. Of course the companies behind them backed the message up.

Maybe Sprint needs to be a little contrite and tell people they have listened to their customers and new management is spending billions and working hard to build a better network. Sure beats the crap they have been putting out.

  4. I'm getting LTE (12.43mbps down/ 3.01mbps up) across the Bridgewater commons starting this morning

That's good news. I was in Somerville last week and saw an Alcatel Lucent van in the parking lot across from the train station. The building there has a Sprint site on the roof I believe. Could mean nothing but I still got a little excited.

  5. 4g is going strong on 202 south of the Flemington circle up to the Branchburg border. Any information on when it's coming to Bridgewater / Hillsborough / somerset?

There is some LTE in Hiilsborough right now along 206 coming up from Belle Mead almost all the way up to the movie theatre. There's a little in Bridgewater too near the ballpark.

  6. Just noticed some LTE the other day in Montgomery just inside Somerset County north of Princeton. I was waiting at a gas station there and noticed 3G seemed unusually quick so I ran a speedtest and got 1.8mb/s. Turned on LTE and it popped up. Seems to have spread in the past week too. Also found some in Bridgewater near the ballpark.
