1. I am often on b41 more than b25 now when I'm out. This phone latches onto it and doesn't want to let it go. Even inside my campus with very low dbm I still average 3-6 down....

I'm satisfied with it

Yeah I'm getting LTE in places the 5c couldn't. That's all I care about because before the phone turned into a rock that lit up
2. Sorry I thought it was the S5 in my first post but upon reading the article again I see it was the Note 4 (It's been a long week). Doesn't change my point I was trying to make.

The ip6 and 6+ both won more display accuracy test then any device I beleive -except the Note 4.. What put the iP6+ in the top two ever winning that many areas ( which the other was the Note 4) iam not sure except maybe the 1080p versus ...iP6 which displays a hair above 720p ..and the higher iP6+ dpi which arguably is hard to detect - I couldnt see it. Even displaymate acknowledges in the S5 and Note reviews that some colors are hard to see at a higher dpi for a person with 20/20 vision. It depends on distance of even inches. This is why many 50-60 inch HD screens are only 150dpi

3. Yeah I agree and at the bottom it reads

We recently gave the Samsung Galaxy Note 4 our overall Best Smartphone Display award, and for the time being that continues for all of the reasons originally mentioned there. In particular, for implementing Color Management to provide multiple Color Gamuts, and then using the Color Management to provide the Highest Absolute Color Accuracy for Standard (sRGB/Rec.709) consumer content of any Smartphone or Tablet display that we have ever measured (in one of its four available screen modes, which many reviewers seem to overlook).

I was just pointing this part out. Not saying the iPhone 6 is bad or anything just that the Note 4 still has for the time being the best smartphone display and has the highest absolute color accuracy. And the other 1 of 2 displays is the Note 4.

Yes but I was replying to you post 876 which insisted the S5 had the best display. The S5 does not have the same display as the Note4 ...and both the iP6 and 6+ beat the S5 in the majority of color accuracy test.

4. Just to clarify the iPhone 6 has the best "LCD", Displaymate even mentioned that the S5 still has the best mobile screen.

I have to give Apple credit for I am seriously thinking about getting a 6 plus. I'm just waiting for the next Nexus before making my decision. Wife has a 6 and I think they are really nice (tried to talk her into getting a plus but she wouldn't go for it). If I can swing it I will get both and enjoy the perks of both OS's.

Call me old but I just don't see the need to prove one OS/phone better then the other. They are both fast and stable enough for me. I don't have to wipe out old apps on either phone anymore and neither phone crashes. They both just work like they should. If I am getting worked up about 10 seconds after 30 apps then I have no life.

In my opinion they really knocked it out of the park with this phone.

They said the iphone 6 has the best Lcd display .. While ( it was said in an earlier review)the S5 has the best amOLED display..these are different technologies though .. OLED's strength has been is displaying blacks.. While LCD is better with lights.. This is why displaymate said it was "unexpected" that the iPhone 6 still had better contrast in ambient lighting then the S5.

They also said "The iPhone 6 Plus is only the second Smartphone display (-LCD or OLED-) to ever get all Green (Very Good to Excellent) Ratings in all test and measurement categories (except for Brightness variation with Viewing Angle, which is the case for all LCDs) since we started the Display Technology Shoot-Out article series in 2006"

So there it is in black in white- the iP6+ is only 1 of 2 displays ( of Oled or Lcd ) to rate that high since they began in 2006.

The iPhone 6 ( and 5s) win hands down in nearly all color accuracy test:

5. But according to the comment section of any tech site's article on anything iPhone 6; it's a piece of 2009 crap. :)

The most in depth reviews of any devices including smartphones are found at anandtech.

The iPhone 6 loads apps faster, beat all android phones loading (any) web browser even using googles own Octane benchark, it had the fastest acquire target auto focus on any camera ; better low light pics.. The most accurate colors shown on a display screen, period ( which was also said last week by the trusted Displaymate website)..

6. Has anyone been getting this phantom error "this cable or accessory may not be certified and may not work reliably with your iphone?" It just started yesterday, and I don't even have a cable plugged into it!https://discussions.apple.com/thread/6570891

Sent from my iPhone 6

I had it happen twice. Once I was using an aftermarket lightning cord I got at 5 and below.. The lightning cords ( oem or not ) all have a microchip in the head of the lightning plug. If the after market dealer has no agreement with Apple eventually iOS blocks its use.

The other time it happened my Apple lightning cord .. It was frayed and had been excessively used and sometimes I'd get that message.

Both of these happened with my 5c

For now I'm not even using the cord that came with my iP6... I'm using a aftermarket one I got for my 5c..

I'd place money it's the cord even if new because a chip can still be bad in those. The Apple Store is a sure bet if one is close for a free diag

7. Anyone have any tricks on getting an iPhone 6 plus

Haven't tried much but when reading or surfing on Safari instead of hitting the toggle window to switch to another open window I used two thumbs to shrink my open browser window and then two thumbs ( or a finger ) to pull another one side open onto the screen... Did it on landscape mode or whatever it's called.. Phone long ways left to right (camera on left and home button on right , NOT top to bottom). It might work too to bottom I never tried because I like widescreen.. By doing it this way u don't have to yank down on the screen to reveal the toggle and plus buttons .. Avoiding a step.. The thumb minimize trick is faster.. No biggie just convient

I've noticed another nice feature on the voice text I'm sure most of you have tried and already know.. If you hit the msg it plays over speaker and if you raise it to eat it plays discreetly in your ear.

8. Has anyone here gotten a space gray iPhone 6 plus?  There are a few stores here in Atlanta with Silver and Gold versions in stock but every store pretty much said they have not even seen the 6 plus in Sapce Gray come to the stores.

Only at the Apple Store but I wasn't paying attention at most places

9. I guess I'll call them today and see if they can help. Thanks

Im surprised you havent already.  Im a worrier.. so I called .. i told them the tracking site offered no info.. this way you can also see if they see your order in their system - as they should.

10. Nope, corporate store all the way. And the worst part, every time I ask for the salesman that sold me my phone, they won't let me talk to him.

Have you called Sprint like I did ? They updated my phone number ( in the order ) and made sure everything was right .. they might be able tell you more on shipping status

11. Wow,

when I was at the store ordering my phone, they couldn't even print my Easy Pay agreement, only my receipt, and that's the number that's on my receipt. And I can't even get my Easy Pay agreement on MySprint. Plus, they had me put my email in, and the system never emailed my agreement to me at all.

Sound like a franchise store.. thats where i ordered my wifes - a franchise, not a corporate store... I got an agreement but it lacked the order number i needed to track it at  the Sprint " /myorder"  link.  They also didnt have my phone number right somehow.. haha.. and its their number

12. Ah, ok. I just hope mine finally makes it to the store when I get back to Visalia early next week.

13. Yes. Charged the 6 with the iPad charger. I was testing a theory with the cables because I have a non-apple cable that seemed to charge it shorter. I got from 5% battery life to 90% battery life in exactly 90 minutes with little to no usage of the phone with the apple lightning cable. I will test it with the non apple cable sometime this week.

I have always wondered though...Does charging with the iPad charger result in quicker discharge of the battery, or is that a myth just like the myth that the iPad charger will cause the iPhone to blow up.

No it wont discharge faster... the problem ( in the past ) when you used your ipad charger with say-- your 5s, or iPhone 5.. is it didn't support fast 2.1 amp charge - the use of a 2.1 amp charger in those ( non supported ) would result in more of a risk of shortening of battery life ( shortening of how many times it could be charged and perhaps how fully charged )..  With supported 2.1am charging that shouldn't be an issue with the iP6..

14. Just ordered the 128 Gb iPhone 6 Plus in Gold with the White face.. Sprint said 2 weeks although they mentioned the iPhone 6 128 Gb would only be 4 days till ship

I have the same phone you ordered :) I got impatient and found it at Best Buy, hahaha.

I'm shocked Sprint has updated order times to 2 weeks. Their site ( sprint.com/ship ) still says 4-6 weeks for a 6+

Did you order online or in store thinking about getting the 128 in space gray.  2 weeks sounds way better than 4-6 weeks

6 Plus 128GB in gold shipping in 2 weeks? The stupid Sprint store I ordered mine at told me today I'll have to wait 3 weeks before I can get mine, and when I ordered, the system said 15 were in the warehouse. :censored:

As all you of know, I just ordered my iPhone 6+ 128 Gb on Sunday Sept 28th.  The rep told me 2 weeks.. which she said they were more available then the 64 Gb models.  So i logged onto sprint.com/mypreorder to look ....

I can't beleive it !  It's been only 3 freaking days.. and its shipping !  I should get it today !

15. Just did an iPad charge with the new cable from 5% and it took almost exactly 90 minutes to get to 90%.

You did an iPad charge or you charged your iP6 with the iPad charger?

The iPhone 6 ( and 6+ ) ships with the 1 amp charger, despite having full support for the 2.1 amp ( comes with iPad )

So using  the 2.1 amp charger won't hurt anything and according to the link below nearly (90%) charged an iP6 Plus  in  2 hours instead of the 3.5 hours it takes with the 1 amp charger.

16. Full iPhone 6 reviews. At the bottom you can toggle to other parts of the review.

This is in depth covering the soc and more, but if you want just cpu benchmarks, memory speed, and gpu are covered on pages 5 and 6 ... Interesting to see a cpu clocked slower that beats faster clocked android chips. Reminds me of Intel versus Amd. It's not how fast the clock ticks as most look at clock speed - when comparing different brand CPUs - it's how much work is being done per clock tick.

Review also covers the camera and display and compares to android
