  1. I know that the Kroll way tower is down until Oct 6th & really hope that they make us 100% LTE there are way to many pockets that keep going to slow 3G I am on LG G2 so since its a Spark phone it wants to get the best signal yet for me the LTE keeps dropping while signal strength is poor if was on Panama ln I would get low bars & LTE speeds are just crap .76 mps sux
  2. well just got off the phone with Sprint because my speeds have dropped very badly & I was told a tower off of Kroll way has been down since the 15th & it will take until the 18th of next month to fix it also was told that the tower off of Stockdale hwy is being upgraded in the next 2-3 weeks for 1x800 & 2500 lets hope it gets done quickly & get Spark to start here
  3. the only Tower really close to me is right off of Stockdale Hwy next to cafe med it only has like 3 panels on it will take a photo tomorrow to show you & the other one is on Palm St & that one is still on Wimax no idea why they have not fixed it yet thanx
  4. Great to Hear That Fresno got LTE any more News on when Bakersfield gets to get 100% LTE getting tired of hitting to many pockets that have 3G or no internet thanx also any News if Spark will come here as well if so When I understand the New CEO is looking into doing just that just want to know how fast
  5. look at what I found its a year old yet still might be helpful Sprint Internal Memo regarding Circuit Switched Fallback issues: eCSFB Gap Talking Points Sprint’s Network Vision Plan (Spectrum) Sprint’s Network Vision plan includes access to three spectrum bands, (1.9, 800 and 2.5), and LTE handsets with a single radio. Access to diverse spectrum assets allows Sprint to maximize capacity and coverage. Current Sprint LTE Devices (2 Radios) Current Sprint LTE devices are Simultaneous Voice and LTE (SVLTE)—using two radios, one for voice and one for LTE data. This allows CDMA calls and LTE to operate at the same time. Dual Radio SVLTE devices can degrade the user’s quality of experience – two antennas may slow throughput at the cell edge and reduce battery life. Future Sprint LTE Devices (1 Radio) CSFB and eCSFB (Circuit Switch Fall Back and enhanced Circuit Switch Fall Back) are features that enable single radio functionality in the handset. eCSFB Benefits: With eCSFB implementation, Sprint will be able to offer fast LTE data speeds and 3G voice supported on single radio devices. This provides a more cost effective option for Sprint’s long-term business plans to support additional spectrum bands. eCSFB is expected to improve handset battery life compared to SVLTE. eCSFB Gap Issue – What you Need to know: Smart devices require eCSFB to “fall back” to 3G to accept a voice call if the user is connected to the LTE network. All markets need to be upgraded with eCSFB capability. eCSFB Gaps are only in non-incumbent markets where a site has 4G LTE and no 3G upgrade. 4G LTE integration with 3G is different by OEM type: Incumbent markets – LTE 4G only sites can communicate with either legacy 3G or NV 3G sites. Non-Incumbent – LTE 4G can only communicate with NV 3G sites; so individual sites need both NV upgrades. LTE devices – Customer Experience When 4G LTE is deployed in a non-incumbent market on sites without upgrade to 3G service, there is a gap. Existing Devices – No Impact eCSFB Devices – Phone becomes 3G only device Non-Launched Markets No coverage visible on Sprint.com maps but different experience for users with existing devices versus new eCSFB devices.Launched Markets Sprint coverage tools will display LTE coverage. For new LTE smart device users this could be confusing since they would expect LTE and 3G coverage with the device they purchased, but would not experience LTE until the 3G network is upgraded.Mitigation plan: New LTE Markets When locking new LTE markets for announcement/ launch, eCSFB deployment status will be a factor in the analysis. New LTE markets will not be announced unless the eCSFB gap risk is low. Complete the build quickly in eCSFB gap impacted markets. Acronyms CSFB – Circuit Switch Fall Back. It allows for single radio devices. (ERC) eCSFB – Enhanced Circuit Switch Fall Back Next generation CSFB. (ALU, STA) SVLTE – Simultaneous Voice & LTE. Allows CDMA calls and LTE to operate simultaneously Incumbent – An incumbent market is one in which the OEM stays the same as before Network Vision Non-incumbent – A market in which the OEM changes as well as all of the equipment. ERC - Ericsson ALU – Alcatel Lucent STA - Samsung NV – Network Vision OEM – Original Equipment Manufacturer (ERC, ALU, STA) Gap – 4G LTE on sites without appropriate upgrades to 3G service 1.9 GHz Spectrum - Provides initial capacity and coverage for voice and data services. 800 MHz Spectrum - Improves coverage and in-building penetration for all services. 2.5 GHz Spectrum - Increases data capacity to support higher data demands and more users.
  6. Look at what I just found http://finance.yahoo.com/news/mysterious-fake-cellphone-towers-intercepting-162645809.html
  7. No LTE in parts of the SW & some of Rosedale I live off of Stockdale where I have the Best LTE because the tower is right down the way yet Speeds really sucks during most of the days until night when speeds pick back up
  8. anyone know why LTE is no longer getting upgraded in the rest of Bakersfield because while I get killer LTE at home I get poor LTE in almost all spots around down East side there is hardly any LTE & parts of the South West same issue just don't see anyone working on towers any more thanx for all help
  9. My sister is in Vegas until later tonight & then heads back here to Bakersfield & she called me via Hangouts inside of Sams Town & was very surprised to see her playing on a slot machine & she came in clear no longer on the Samsung Galaxy 2 WiMax & not on the HTC Once M7 she came in clear with little to no lag was very happy to see her Win some money while video chatting also anyone have an idea Why Sprints coverage map does not show LTE & only Sensorly does? http://coverage.sprint.com/IMPACT.jsp?INTNAV=ATG:HE:Cov
  10. yes I know 4G is LTE yet when you look on the Sprint maps LTE is not on their site on 4G WiMAX is so just need to know if there is a Thread on S4GRU that may talk about it more
  11. Alright have to know if there is a thread on here that talks about LTE in Vegas? please help looked on Sensorly maps & it shows 4G & WiMax both sho I need to know if the 4G is LTE & that before I head there tomorrow if I will have LTE thanx this is 4G http://www.sensorly.com/map/4G/US/USA/Sprint/lte_310sprint#q=Sams+Town+Bowling+Center%2C+5111+Boulder+Highway%2C+Las+Vegas%2C+NV+89122%2C+USA|coverage & this is WiMax thanx http://www.sensorly.com/map/WIMAX/US/USA/Sprint-Wimax/wimax_310sprint#q=Sams+Town+Bowling+Center%2C+5111+Boulder+Highway%2C+Las+Vegas%2C+NV+89122%2C+USA|coverage

  13. Anyone know when LTE will Spread all over Visalia looks like my mom is just a bit on the out-skirts for her LTE & phone signal to work very good she lives close to the Visalia PKWY & E Harvard Ave we know how Sprint Shows for Signal Strength & data is good yet even on Sensorly it shows its weaker than it should be while she is in the house she gets like 2 bars & speeds are slow yes she is on wifi yet just sucks to not enjoy her LTE she has the Note 2 thanx http://www.sensorly.com/map/4G/US/USA/Sprint/lte_310sprint#q=Visalia+PKWY+%26+E+Harvard+Ave+|coverage https://network.sprint.com/search/+Visalia+PKWY+%26+E+Harvard+Ave+/
  14. REALLY Airvana are 100% Free from Sprint as long as it shows that she had lots of dropped calls & she lived in a spotty or poor coverage spot or she had the back door # to Sprint like I do. well hope she enjoys VZ if you need help let me know
  15. not much for data then I would say it would be somewhat worth it as for me I have been with Nextel/Sprint for 7 years & if ever need anything from them would always get it resolved fast helps having back door #'s
  16. How do you figure that she will be paying less with VZ they cost way more than Sprint & with her being with Sprint for 3.5 years she was in the old price plans so that means she would still not be capped on any data & her plan would be less than what VZ has with them they cap her Data & will Throttle it when she goes over
  17. Well your Airvana should cost you anything a month & if it is let me know & I will send you their backdoor # to get it for Free & a Zero contract hope this helps you
  18. Thoughts of what people think we are still kicking their with our unlimited side vs theirs still being capped
