  1. Do you have to be rooted for it to work?

Nope, you don't have to be rooted. It will work on anything unless your device runs Android 2.3 or under, in which you must complete a few extra steps. It doesn't look like Kit Kat on a Nexus 7 2nd gen., so it doesn't work on that. I am going to try it on my Kyocera Echo and then my Motorola Droid 2. I'll update when done!

  2. I know that if my son Joey wants it, it must be a useless gimmick. ;)

I DID want it until I saw the $1,150 price tag! Then I throught, "Who needs curved screens anyways!"

  3. So recently I stumbled upon the APK files for Google's new Google Home Launcher, 4.4 Keyboard, and new Hangouts. (If you just want to skip to the APK file downloads, here you go:http://www.phonearena.com/news/How-to-install-the-new-Google-launcher-and-apps-from-Android-4.4-KitKat-keyboard-Hangouts-camera-wallpapers_id48969). I downloaded and installed these, knowing my year old Samsung Galaxy SIII wouldn't be receiving the Android 4.4 update [EVER], and after using my dad's Nexus 5 for a few minutes, I gotta say it looks pretty close. I love this launcher, and I can't figure out why Google won't release it on the Play Store anytime soon. It's brilliant! It works well and looks like Kit Kat. No extra launchers or themes necessary, just apply the launcher and you've got Kit Kat on your home screen. The new Keyboard is really neat, too. And the Hangouts with integrated SMS? I love it. For anyone who hasn't gotten the update yet or has a device that will never get it, I recommend this. Also, if you download the Jelly Bean Go Locker theme and the Go Locker app and it's dead on! Alright, I'm done. Now to go look up more useless things!

New Hangouts and 4.4 Keyboard released on Google Play a couple days ago, though no update on the Google Home launcher. Will update when there's news!

  4. I got to see this baby today when I went to Tysons Corner and it's a huge screen. It drifnitely has a wow factor just from the size of the screen alone. AT&T is offering it for 149 I think. I didn't get a good look at the contract price but the retail price is much less than the Note 2 which shocked me. 479 vs 700. Sent from my SPH-L710 using Tapatalk 4

The specs are lower on the Mega 6.3 than the Note 2. It's unfortunate, but I figure if it has Tri-Band LTE then I'm getting it for sure. I love having strange phones, and what's stranger than a 6.3 in. phone?!

  5. Yeah that is true. Thanks. I am very disappointed in its specs. The 5.8 is even worse. I think I will just wait until the Note 3 comes out or I will just buy the GS4 Triband. My Nexus 7 2013 has the perfect screen for me right now, so I'll just stick with it and my GS3 until the GS4 Triband comes out. Thanks again!

  6. Okay, so I am the kind of person who believes bigger phones are better, and I was super excited when Samsung revealed the Samsung Galaxy Mega 6.3. It is also fairly cheap for a smartphone. My one question is this: Is it on Sprint? It would be just like Samsung to release this only on AT&T like they did with the Galaxy Camera and Note. I have Googled it and I can't seem to find an answer.

  7. I'm thinking S4GRU staff member action figures. I hope to someday hear an eight year old kid telling his friends about his brand new Robert action figure. I mean, you could make so many accessories for them! They could each have their own cell phone, and the kids could trade the phones with their friends. And instead of a doll house, there would be cell towers!
