  1. I live in an area that had pretty good WiMax coverage. So what kind of speeds are expected, not theoretical, with TD-LTE?
  2. For the reasons you mentioned above, I am thoroughly excited about the future of Sprint. I am just hoping they continue to work on their network and ensure the hardware they offer takes full advantage of it. With LTE rolling out, should the iphone 6 (yes, a year from now) be able to talk&surf ???
  3. All I know is I am still under contract for another year. By that time. Sprint will have their network updated with SoftBank's guidance (and money) and the phones available should be able to play nicely with all of Sprint's frequencies. Love being on SERO ????
  4. Hehe, the only way I know is because I work out that way. All around Raley Field I get some LTE. The speeds are ok ~ 2mbps down but its progress.
  5. I saw some work being done in West Sac by Raley Field, close to West Capital Ave. Pics: https://www.dropbox.com/s/ry4xszw9odcpswo/Photo%20Aug%2015%2C%2012%2026%2035%20PM.jpg https://www.dropbox.com/s/qumq9z7vfjared7/Photo%20Aug%2015%2C%2012%2029%2058%20PM.jpg
  6. That's the thing, the equipment did not look new. I'll keep an eye on it and post some pics next time I drive by.
  7. I saw an unmarked white work truck at the tower on Mack Rd and Deer (something) Dr. There wasn't any LTE signal transmitted but the 3G signal was .50 Mbps up and .90 Mbps down. Hoping the LTE is not too far away.
  8. Yeah, in drive by it a few times a week as well and haven't seen any new equipment either.
  9. I just picked up a blip if LTE in south sac today, Florin Rd and 24th Ave. is that bleed over from the pocket area or has work begun in south sac?
  10. It's most likely the fact that its so early in the morning. I typically get the same results really late at night and early in the morning.
  11. Is it possible that sprint will add the additional hardware to utilize the 2500/2600 MHz spectrum or will that come at a later time?
  12. Is it possible that Sprint will use equipment that will use the Clearwire and iDen LTE frequencies along with the 1900 MHz In areas that have not yet received LTE, such as Sacramento and Elk Grove?
  13. I will do some recon as I'm sitting here in southwest Elk Grove and my iphone keeps going from roaming to no service to sprint.
  14. Are any of the following Sprint towers or antennas? There are two huge sites off of Whitelock Dr, one on Atkins behind the fire station and another at the park/sports complex. I've also just recently noticed a faux tree tower where Elk Grove blvd and Fire Poppy meet, on the golf course.
  15. Per SprintCare on Twitter, Sacramento and Elk Grove should have LTE up or in progress within the next 90 days. I, for one, can't wait. #Sprint #SoftBank
  16. I only see two towers in Elk Grove on the i5 side. Am I correct? Does that mean LTE will suck on that side of town?
  17. So I live in Elk Grove and drive out to Roseville to test the LTE. All I have to say is "WOW". Now I can't wait for the rest of the area to get LTE. 29 down and 6 up. This was at the arco station at Cirby and Riverside. https://www.dropbox.com/s/9oekfs7b5a6tp4q/Photo%20Jun%2023%2C%203%2019%2012%20PM.png
  18. I also hope SoftBank gets the Sprint deal completed quickly and Clearwire as well. Then let the next gen LTE roll out with building penetration.
  19. I can't wait for LTE to make it to Elk Grove, south Sac and West Sac. This way I will be covered everywhere I frequent.
  20. I snapped a picture of one in the Raleys parking lot but don't know how to upload it. Besides, the equipment looks old.
  21. I have noticed that South Sac, Mack Rd and Franklin Blvd, has great coverage but data is excruciatingly slow. Any work in progress?
  22. Is there anything happening in Elk Grove? My 3G has been acting up for the past week or so but I'm not sure where the towers are in my area, franklin blvd and whitelock.
