can't really think of any places that I go in tyler w/o lte. ...seems to be pretty well coveredare you having any data issues today? My 3g seems to be kicking in and out, and 4g has been working some but really slow.
-
oh ok never had that problem buy I feel your painive had 5 faulty devices. 4 of them refurbished galaxy s4's. The refurbs arenr checked very well for issues
-
what do u mean by refurb replacement devices?well tyler isnt a huge market for sprint.so we dont have as much congestion. They still need a few more towers near the lake and on broadway south of Walmart. But I cant complain too much. The refurb/ replacement devices are whats killing me!

You know its funny because alot of people I know here in Tyler ditched Sprint for the lack of 4G data and slow speeds and switched to Verizon or AT&T but I told them they would regret it when Sprint fully deployed LTE which is close to being done here in Tyler and now that they dont have unlimited data and extremely high bills they want to come running back to Sprint especially when i tell them my LTE coverage hardly goes away (except in buildings sometimes) they only wish they were still with Sprint. Idk about the rest of Sprints 4G markets across the U.S. but I can truly say 4G data in Tyler for Sprint is doing wonders

My speeds at home are a whole lot better at last. I think im connected to the tower downtown now vs the one over on Gentry. I was downtown today and noticed I had a full LTE signal and got 30 mbps down and now my LTE stays connected at home and im averaging 9mbps down vs the 1 or 2mbps I was getting from another tower. Great job Sprint!!

ok yeah there is a tower there . I got my roads mixed up. Its accepted I believe. Signal check pro cost 2 bucks and its worth it! Id download it if I were you
Ok thanks bro

Well the towers that would prolly serve you, is the downtown site on the building across from KLTV, Regions I think. Or maybe the site on Mccain by rose stadium. But I thought the Downtown site was a donut. Oh and the site in the bergfield brookshires is in a donut mode too!

Yea but if you Iook on sprint there are 2 towers closer than the one by rose stadium. Theres on a Gentry by the hotels and theres also a tower on 69 about half a mile from the loop. I've never had a connection to the one by the stadium at my house. Isn't there an app to see what tower you're connected to but in all honesty I think im on the one on Gentry

the 5 sites not on are all going up broadway, so its a bit spotty
I finally started getting LTE at my house about 2 weeks ago. The majority of the time my signal is 4G but sometimes its not usable and will switch back to 3G. I do speedtests all the time and mostly they're 3G speeds (1.2mbps and below) but last night I hit 9mbps down twice but now im back down to about 2/3mbps. I dont know exactly what tower im connected to but there's a tower over on Gentry by the Holiday Inn that seems to be my tower. The closer I drive to that tower the better the speeds (15-20mbps) so hopefully whichever tower it is the performance will pick up. Maybe there is closer tower that isn't broadcasting LTE yet. Help me Jeremyvbk oh and i stay right off of North Broadway on Border street not far from North Loop 323

must be in donut mode. Its been like that for a few times.
Have u found any new sites in Tyler....coverage is getting better over here in North Tyler but hasn't reached my house yet
-
niceThis is a speed test from August 19th in Longview, on Highway 80, near Good Shepherd Medical Center. This was my first time on LTE. I was very impressed.

Got LTE right behind Brookshires on Rice Rd this morning

yes. It was yesterdayis the downtown site still in donut mode?
-
yea I was talking about a 4g signal with 5 bars. But I thought the more bars the better the speeds for 3g/4g. I know there are more things that factor Into speed but usually I get faster speeds with more bars and I know bars dont tell the true story of your signalwell not bars per say. But based on the engineering screen I can kinda convert it to aroumd what it would be equal to on bars
-
No! I'm struggling to get 1mbps down outside with 5 bars....something is wrongNotice any better coverage or sites?
-
I apologize -87 inside and -77 outside but the -87 was right by the windowHow can you have a -87 inside and outside? That's impossible especially with LTE on the PCS band. Maybe I'm not understanding the situation.
-
yesIs that LTE signal numbers?
-
Walked outside and my speeds went from 7mbps down Inside to 1-2 mbps...and I had 4bars both times with a signal of -87
-
ok well 800 will help me as im around towers at work and at home....the spectrum from clearwire will help tremendously tho with it being able to go further and better building penetrationno its full 10x10 mhz. Ive seen speeds upto 50 in smith county on att speed test. I dont think 800mhz will help me much unless they build a closer site to me. The closest site to me is 4 miles away. And my house is like a cell reception graveyard
-
I had access to AT&T's LTE this morning from a co-worker's phone and speeds were pretty good. Between 12-17mbps down with about 4 bars inside the building. I cant even pick up my LTE unless im by a window but I know 800mhz will solve that partially for building penetration. I was kinda expecting faster speeds from AT&T so this must be a 5×5 market for them in East Texas. My fastest speeds inside the building here at work was about 6mbps which is good enough for me. Wonder how many At&t sites are liveoh yeah I may need maybe 10 for me cause I do a lot of videos. but Id be happy with a solid 5-10.
-
I have to stand by a window at work to pick up a 3g/4g signal but when I got 4g I was able to get 4mbps down which is fast enough for what I do on my phone at work which is Facebook, S4GRU and other web browsingwell at least it is live now. May not be so fast but live is at least a good sign
-
yea im at work and 4g just popped back upIt is back live again. Having backhaul issues cause it wouldnt pass 1 mbps down close to where I was hitting 30 down
-
lol dammitI guess they shut it off from the general public :/ Guess it is the waiting game again

I didn't pick up any either from downtown or Beckham or front streetjust to let everyone know the site must be in donut mode cause I can not get sny lte anymore
-
is the tower by the bakery downtown one of ours too. ...always get full bars right there but the lte only last for a secondits the same on the downtown site as well, the southern areas are stronger signal and better speeds and reliability. Must be im think there is signal interference on the northsides, or they have more people on the sectors
