Just found this menu after getting my MSL from Sprint to force my HTC E4GLE to LTE per Robert's post. Most of the SID/NID pairs I have are 4622/5 which has to be Houston. Yesterday I went up to the Woodlands for the Chicago/Doobie Bros concert and I see I know have three entries under 4120/94. I did manage to get an LTE connection at the Pavilion and got my fastest LTE speeds yet: 5.7Mbps down and 7.8Mbps up per the Speedtest.net app.

Like the reviewer, I live in Houston. I really appreciate the thoroughness of this review and including evaluation of the unit under high (normal Houston) temperatures. May be looking to replace my fiancée's Motorola CPEi25150 with this unit in the future.

Saw this. I think I would wait to see what HTC and Verizon have cooked up for the fall. I expect an iPhone 5 competitor with dual or quadcore S4 Pro and possible LightField camera since the S4 Pro supports it.

So looking forward to LTE in Houston. Then I will be able to stop carrying around my Thunderbolt as a glorified hotspot! Although with the extended battery (I picked it up on Amazon for $14 bucks) it lasts all day with LTE on, and I don't think the EVO LTE will be able to manage that.

I have the OEM Sprint/HTC Car dock and it works great. The only (tiny) drawback is you have to provide your own micro USB cable. However, I had one that Best Buy gave me when I purchased my OG EVO and it works great. The phone is secure in the dock--unlike when I used to drive around with my EVO 3D with a dash-mounted home dock. I always had to drive with my passenger's side window up so that my device didn't fly out the window! I really like that the pin in the dock can auto connect the EVO in Car mode. However, I wish they had not hard coded the standard TuneIn Internet radio app as I much prefer the TuneIn Radio Pro which allows recording and 10 second rewind and has a much better UI.

Robert, These are exactly the kind of issues that after a long week, I did not want to get into at the end of Thursday. However, they do show how ignorant these folks were, and how dangerous a simplistic app like Open Signal Maps.

Loving the EVO 4G LTE, only something is making Sense go into "LOADING..." all the time. But between Google and having more than 2GB of App storage on a phone I actually love I've put almost every app and the kitchen sink on it. (The Thunderbolt is a glorified swiss army knife--4G LTE hotspot, and formerly my best 8GB camera, but almost unusable as a phone do to a stupid proximity sensor issue.) I keep hearing that LTE pops up every now and then in Houston, but I haven't seen it. My financée and I have seen our 3G coverage totally drop out at the same time: her on her Nexus S 4G and me on the EVO 4G LTE. I'm hoping that means that NV is being deployed in that area.
