  1.

When you get LTE on your way to work is it not forced? Where is it you're picking it up?

Not forced. (iPhone) Band 25 ..... The tower is on Weld county line road, North of Highway 52. Picking the signal up at highway 52 and County Road 5 all way west to highway 52 and North 95th St. Yesterday I hit about 28 Mpbs DL in the evening drive home.

The signal cuts out after N95th. 52 runs right into IBM.. where its legacy 3G remains.

  2. Jt. My brother lives down in the Springs. He told me his service there suddenly became horrible for about a week before everything went live and now it's amazing. We're close, hang in there a little longer. It's going to be sweet.

I am hoping so, this week.. at my job, speeds have come to a crawl ( 70kbps DL ) which normally averages 300Kbps DL.  It is nice, getting LTE OMW to work now, pretty exciting. Can't wait.

  3. Just got off the phone with Mary from Sprint. She said denver has over 27 tickets out right now upgrading the market for network vision. Each ticket has 4 or 5 zip codes. She tracked down one ticket for me: 80012 80026 80504 80123. she said that these zips are scheduled to  have Lte turned on on April 6 2014. It took so long to get this info out of her. I didn't ask for any other tickets.

Very interesting, I am near a few of those zip codes. So .. we will see what happens between now and April 6th.  Should be exciting to say the least.

  4. Sorry quick off topic. I'm impressed how active the Colorado thread is. Phoenix just got a ton of LTE on the latest map update and no one is even talking about it while Denver gets 3 and we are all excited. Back on topic, since Colorado Springs got 800 LTE so quickly (in Sprint terms) after their LTE launch does that mean the Denver metro will get similar treatment when it does start to ramp up? I know the springs is a more important market to them since when I lived there people always raved about how good their sprint service was but one can hope right?

Yea, I would think so.  I don't really see why not.

  5. I made the mistake of defending sprint on a couple of their community forums (customer for 10+ years). The titles of the forums were something along the lines of "sprint service sucks" and "we should get money back for no LTE" now my inbox gets flooded with updates mostly of idiots complaining that their phones didn't work for a second and now they are switching carriers. They have absolutely no idea what they are talking about or what the new NV will look like. I really can't thank everyone here enough for being so positive and informative. I prefer intelligent, informative conversation rather than ALL CAPS complaining with 1 out of 5 words misspelled.

I chimed in on a thread over at MacRumors titled " Sprint is Pathetic" and they love to mention this site, and how we are the Sprint Apologists. They love to take screen shots of some of the posts on this site, out of context of course, and get a good laugh. Sad really.

The problem is after 2 pages, I gave up.. they are the guys to bash whatever company they do not get their service with.

Most of those guys on that thread were a joke.

This is why, I stick this forum, this site is great, with lots of information.

  6. nope no notification. Must be a plug in or something outdated with the forum. No worries, back to timeline. It's just nice to have notifications because sometimes I miss replies because they get pushed far down on the timeline.

Exactly. I have given up on the issue. Oh well..

  7. These days I consistently get 3G speeds of 1Mbps or more, sometimes even 2+ Mbps. Coupled with low latency on eHRPD, I find it to be eminently usable for most purposes.

Most Sprint critics won't believe, or remember, but around 2007-2008, Sprint's EvDO network regularly beat out all three competitors. Back then, HSDPA wasn't a thing, so all GSM carriers had was EDGE.

It's good to see Sprint's 3G network back performing the way it should always have.

Yes agreed.. And I remember those days. It was great to be a sprint customer. With NV I have seen nothing less than 1 Mbps dl. Brings back the good ole days.

  8. Well, somewhat. Or had some sources or idk. Regardless he could've explained his point to everyone or accepted that he was wrong. I know better than to tell people that I know are more versed on the subject that they are wrong lol. I still know relatively nothing in comparison to most people on this forum,

So did I miss something as to why he is gone? It looks like some posts have been deleted.

  9. Accepting constructive criticism is a huge part of life. Not being able to gets you no where. Dkoellerwx was right in his statement. If I had been Merlin, I would've accepted it and just checks my sources and done some research. Especially if I am on the "inside with sprint." Anyways! I hope Colorado has LTE by the time I visit next year, if I do.

Inside sprint? I'm not sure about that. .. With several of his posts made me wonder. It could've just been me though.
