    So that would directly effect my m8's ability to place and receive calls, text message timeouts, and 3g data drops? I'm worried I got a faulty unit.

    I got the M8, my first ever Tri-Band phone. Heck of a time to get it, huh? It's all jacked up. LTE obviously doesn't connect. But also 3G drops, calls drop, and texts are coming to me hours after they were sent. I'm in Maryville, which I assume is also getting the upgrades currently. I was in Knoxville yesterday and the same behavior was taking place.

    Any updates on this network? Apparently the Knoxville area is finally getting the fallback switch upgrades. Anyone have updates on how that's going?

    Hey I wanted to reply again to you about this. I set it to CDMA only and have updated my profile, updated prl, ##72786# reset and went through hands free activation again. And still my 3g disconnects, text messages are all messed up, and incoming calls to my phone don't work. I've had the phone for 4 days, I'm going to try my luck and take it to the corporate store and see if I can get a replacement, maybe I got a lemon. If I get a new one and it's still acting this way, I guess I'll tough it out til the fallback switches are installed.

    Right now I'm on cdma only along with roaming mode set to home only. I've been at home on wifi but i the times I have looked at the phone it's had the 3g icon at the top like it should so maybe it's settled down. We'll see. I wish i could go somewhere with the proper fallback circuits installed and see if it acts any better. Could coming from an iPhone also effect stuff when activating an android? (Btw it was only for 2 days until my m8 came in)

    Got my m8 in Friday. Maybe you guys can help me. I'm in an area with lte but the fallback switches haven't been installed yet so no 4g for me yet. I can live with that. However my 3g, voice and text have also been pretty wonky. A lot of data disconnects, texts not going through, and dropped calls. Do I have a bad phone or do I need to give it a few days and see if it improves? I've only got 14 days to decide. Would those issues be a side effect of having a spark device in a non spark ready area or an area with no fallback switches? The tech at sprint locally seems to think I'll have these same 3g text and voice issues if I switched to a different triband device. Is there any recommendations settings wise I can try in the meantime to help out my 3g and texts?

    I'm having the issues Payne was, but all around town. I'm in Maryville TN right outside of knoxville. We've had lte here for probably a year. Right now this m8 won't connect to LTE, and even 3g is a little wonky and is going in and out of roaming at random. Planning on going to the Sprint store tomorrow and having them check it out.     I live in Maryville, and for the first time, I have 4G at my home. Even indoors. Now I'm at my in-laws house and I am now getting a great 4G signal. This all has happened since yesterday or today I guess. Pretty cool. Sent from my One using Tapatalk 4 Beta
