  1. New beta just pushed out for the crew!

    • Added notification icons for IWLAN and TD-SCDMA networks.
    • Added option to limit notifications when Samsung DeX mode is active.
    • Added provider name to LTE neighbor cells if PLMN is reported and does not match active connection.
    • Changed main screen to display “Mobile” instead of “CDMA” when there is no mobile connection.
    • Changed “Wi-Fi Calling” label to “IWLAN”.
    • Improved third-party (Tasker) intents; omitted Extras will no longer trigger changes.
    • Resolved issue with mobile IP address not displaying in certain situations.
    • Resolved issue with Sprint Airave/800 indicators displaying improperly.

The big thing I'm curious to see in the wild is the provider name on neighbor cells belonging to other networks.. the PLMN is not usually reported for any cells, but in rare occasions it does show up. I haven't seen it since I added this. I'm also working on adding the capability to display neighbor cells when there is no active connection.. that should be ready shortly.

there is a small annoyance with it when my lg g5 or g6 acquire a lte signal..it pops up every time the phones get a lte signal is there a way to disable it?

  2. Get a small screwdriver and take it apart. It's not hard at all I had to replace two screens

my lg g5 after the update the battery life is worse then before....my phone is only 4 months old

  3. The information I had is that NID 502 is assigned to the Airave 3, that's why you are seeing that pop up.. I'll just change it to Airave, I don't think there's a significant enough reason to designate the new model any differently, especially if it's not consistently identified.

do you think you can find a way for it to show the exact frequency its connected to..for example ... 2140.0 mhz

because on my sprint lg g5 it dosent show said information..

  4. True. I have both a T-Mobile and Sprint line and one thing I can tell you is that my Sprint line never goes No Service. It may drop to 3G that's either beyond slow or unusable but Sprint has the reliably part down. I really boggles my mind that T-Mobile cannot get that part right and they have a way dense network compared to Sprint. T-Mobile has to work on how reliable the network is.

in my area sprint in terms of 3g is solid...lte is being worked on which is great ...tmobile lte is semi spotty but their 3g is rock solid in terms of reception...

  5. Let's try to keep politics out of the forum.

i agree with you on that ...and also...i see sprint improving their network once they sort them selves out...hopefully eventually they can catch up to tmobile eventually. ... i see tmobile needing a long way to go still to catch up to verizon....

  6. I'll put it like this. KEFN-CD, currently on channel 49, improperly filed a request to change channel way too early in the process. It was "pursuant to an agreement with a wireless carrier to transition early".

Here is the filing before they corrected it to the assigned channel: https://enterpriseefiling.fcc.gov/dataentry/public/tv/draftCopy.html?displayType=html&appKey=25076f915cef73c3015d1d9ce2c932ff&id=25076f915cef73c3015d1d9ce2c932ff&goBack=N The PDF attachments at the bottom tell the tale; the FCC's filing system didn't let them specify an alternate channel in the form itself.

so I take it that T-Mobile is already trying to clear some of the frequencies they acquired. It's going to take them a long time. I actually jumped back to Sprint from T-Mobile.

  7. You sent me quite a bit! I've filled in a lot of blanks today from numerous sources, S4GRU and otherwise. AT&T is fully handled as of now. Got some solid T-Mobile info through an old friend that will help clean things up significantly. caspar347 hooked me up with fantastic Verizon info, but I'm still trying to figure out more. I have conflicting information on their Band 5 sectors, and I'm lacking information on DAS or other non-macro sites if you or anyone else have anything to share..?

you sir have an amazing application. I actually like that you're able to make it display the frequencies the phone uses when it connects to LTE. Keep up the great work I appreciate your hard work:-)

  8. You must not have had the Note 5. Compared to that I am pretty disappointed in the GS8+ B41 reach. Heck my GS7 is always on b41 longer than my S8+ and it doesn't have HPUE.

I have had the note 5 and I wasn't too impressed with it. I I wasn't impressed with it all together.
