Connection Type: Lte
Server: Los Angeles, CA
Download: 16.45 Mbps

Outside my office on Fairfax and Wilshire. Much faster than it was prior to LA going officially live.
What speeds were you getting before
-
Fastest speeds I've ever gotten, El Monte

LTE just exploded in the center of Temple City. Looks like Sprint is serious about filling in Pasadena and the rest of the SGV
-
Did a low-ish light comparison between my EVO and One. I know there's plenty of that out there, just had to try it out for myself.
EVO:
One:
Impressive!

I got LTE at the Dave and Buster's patio in Arcadia. 9 down, 1.75 up.
Nice too, since wifi doesn't work up there. lol

L.A. (and OC) becomes "official" as of tomorrow?
http://phandroid.com...ng-4g-launches/
http://www.phonearen...pril-12_id41757
What does that mean, exactly? Does that mean that everything will be turned on completely and folks across LA and OC will see a sudden jolt of LTE for Sprint?
The Sprint coverage map has updated my city. It says for I have "fair" coverage on street level for LTE, I guess I'll do some testing around town Friday afternoon!

Just mapped some LTE in El Monte on Lower Azusa by Arroyo High school.

They are not expecting anything to be up until June
Maybe I'll catch a game in the summer

Opening day at Dodger Stadium was atrocious. Little 4G at least on field level and when it's pack, gl to everyone. I had creat 1x but no data or in and out the whole time, even after leaving the game. I did take a picture of the Tower, maybe someone can ID if there is sprint there or not.
Does wifi at least work?

$549 is not bad

Showed up on Sprint's Twitter.

Any high-end slider LTE phones coming to Sprint in the near future? I am looking for:
- 4" screen or larger
- physical keyboard
- 4G LTE (800MHz 3G + 2.5GHz 4G?)
- 8MP camera or better
Currently, it seems the Motorola Photon Q 4G is the only phone available that fits my criteria.
Wait for KLP phones to come out this fall
-
3G speeds of over 2 mbps in el monte. sign of the times? hmm
-
Looks like the 605 freeway is active with LTE between the 210 & 10. I'll test it out next time I go up that direction.
-
Coverage is spreading daily. I see some activity even further out in the West Covina/Walnut area.

I saw activity on the 605 toward the 210. Very much needed improvements on the freeway! Signal drops often there.
-
Saw some new purple on sensorly by the 605 and 10 too

Looks like Sprint is moving in now!

By the S. El Monte/EM border

I mapped a bunch more on my way back home. More LTE by the 605 and 60 in South El Monte :-D

This is with 0 bars. I'm going to try to get closer to the tower tonight.
LTE was the 3.94 download speed. If you couldn't figure it out. lol!
-
Mapped some LTE on my way to Rio Hondo in Whittier so a bit more of South El Monte and even some on campus at Rio Hondo.
Sent from my EVO using Tapatalk 2
Nice work. Also more lte up the 605 past the 60 freeway. I'm going to try to get some speed tests near the border tonight.

I heard rumors of Sprint getting the XL in june. Of course gsm providers won't have to wait.

I have always been pro HTC but I don't know this time around. HTC has really made a lot of bad decisions not to mention basically giving the middle finger to the dev community where as samsung seems to be doing everything that HTC isn't. Its going to be tough but I think I may very well pass on the next evo and get the gs4, or at least wait for both of them to be released before I decide on which one to get.
Always smart to comparison shop. I'm interested in the new Xperia line, but I don't think Sprint will promote that phone very heavily.
-
I was in the Whittier area visiting my GF's family on 3 different weekends and averaged 20+D/8+U. Can't wait to see what it does when it's live and configured perfectly.
Nice. I'm only 8 miles away. Hope it makes it's way up north

Mee too I cannot wait untill LTE starts rolling here in Riverside County, I get decent speeds on 3G but when LTE rolls out my Evo will finally be put to the test
When I went to school at ucr, service was rock solid. I might be working in clairmont soon, any news for nv in that area? don't see anything on sensorly or the sb/riverside topic.
Samsung Note 3 rumored with 3GB of memory

I agree. From the time i've had with the ONE, it has a very minimal interface. Other than blink feed, there isn't that much bloat (esp. the Sprint variant).
I'll play around with sense 5, but probably just stick with a launcher for more features.
