  1. That was probably one of the Shentel tower technicians. They are located in the Newberry Commons in Etters.. since I drive 83 from York to Harrisburg every day I see them quite often. Excited to hear they are working in York!!
  2. I did a decent job of getting Sensorly loaded today (www.sensorly.com/fullscreen/map/4G/US/USA/Sprint/lte_310sprint), the run from 7th Street and down Walnut as well as the spot on Market were from me leaving town today. I also got a speed test done (158ms ping, 12498kbps down, 8568kbps up). So, I'm pretty happy.
  3. I got LTE yesterday for the first time at the intersection of Commonwealth and Forster. Unfortunately the red light was too short for me to get a speed test or to launch Sensorly.
  4. Unfortunately last night and this morning coming down Front Street on the way to work I wasn't able to confirm any LTE connections, but I was in my car and didn't have much of a chance. Unfortunately now at work (on 7th Street) I am jumping from EV-DO to 1X on pretty good signal (-86 dBm) and currently am unable to get a data connection of any sort. I can only hope that this is part of the tower upgrade work because no data is a pretty big issue to me.
  5. Awesome to hear! I'm sure they installed it there first since the store is down the street.. Now let's just hope for a speedy rollout to the rest of the area!
  6. Do you mean "network vision" live with faster data speeds or "LTE" live?
  7. I haven't seen a boost in overall signal strength in Harrisburg city, but I have seen a boost in data speeds. York on the other hand still has horrible reception and worse data speeds which is sad since that is where I spend most of my time.
  8. The faster speeds are appreciated, though I'll be happy to see LTE mostly for the ping times since I'm currently seeing most at > 500ms. The real world applications of using my phone to quickly do something using data aren't quite there for me even with the better speeds. I'm also hoping that their network enhancement helps coverage to some point because though I have decent coverage I still find myself sitting on 2nd Street in Harrisburg or Route 30 in York without coverage at least once a week.
  9. Anyone have any official word from Shentel since the earnings call? I know that I have been getting faster data (averaging about 1500kbps down/200kbps up) in Harrisburg in my office (7th Street, coverage isn't great) but I am really hoping for LTE soon. Really really hoping because the promise of LTE from AT&T and Verizon are more tempting every day.
