I knew at&t was evil. But that takes guts to be that underhanded.

 

I am sure it is happening all over around my area. Nextel had pretty good coverage. Sprint...not so much..they haven't expanded anything here in probably 6 years, and that was maybe one or two towers. They really fell on their face here and ATT is doing the right thing and picking up Sprints pieces or should I say customers. The only reason I am with sprint is due to SERO otherwise I would not have them.

 

I sure hope they don't lose too many Nextel customers. Btw, how many people are still using Nextel after all these years?

 

I know of a company that has nextel. They tried the new cdma phones and found almost half of their coverage area as a service company had no coverage. So their drivers had to use their nextels anyway. ATT swooped in and stole the 50 or so lines. I hear they used the doom and gloom of your phones will stop working one day and have to switch now.

I grew up playing it on the Commodore 64. The little squares filled in with more black as things built. Hahaha...it changed so much since then.

It will be interesting to see the 2xxxx series PRLs now-- wonder if there are any CLR_2ND entries in the acquisition table. We could make a PRL to look for channel 476 and send it to some folks to test in the Big D-- my brother there says the network has been behaving unusually the past week or two.

 

I was able to check out 21085. It came up as the same as 60685 PRL. I even searched to the ACQ table to make sure there was no 476.

 

And thanks for the catch AJ. There were several VZW SIDs that one ACQ record was tied to where they added the 725 PCS scan.

 

On another note, I'll have an analysis of 12117 up. In my quick look at the file, it looks like it is the new 11115. Which would make sense. I'm betting there is a 12119 floating around now with the Pioneer Cell native to domestic roaming change.

That doesn't surprise me! Put an "S" on it and call it new! lmao

It is not going to be anything new for tech. Apple is always behind in their products. Look at the past. Iphones 3.5inch screen with no 4g. Let's even go back to the beginning. Original iphone was edge only even though all the other phones in the past 6 months have been 3g phones. icloud stuff comes out when it was even available on winmo 6.0 years before.

 

Crazy if you really sit and think about it.

<br /><br />Cox cable. It is supposed to be 52.99 but they sent me a letter saying I could get a speed tier increase if I did a 2 yr agreement. I didn't need 25/2.5 with 250gb really. So I downgraded to 3/0.5 for $38 or so. Then did the free upgrade for 2 year lock in. So it put me back to 15/1.5 after the lock in at the 3.0 price.

So what is it with these headphones. In my airport travels, I noticed all the bruthas had these things on. No earbuds for them.

 

Kinda funny that this one guy was bobbing his head..I couldn't hear the audio so I was fine with him jamming out. Except it was time for take off and the attendant didn't appreciate it too much. He tried to tell her it was off and he was just singing in his head. Ummm...yeeeaaaahhhh.

Been running CM9 on the Epic...gotta have the keyboard for me... been using it for a week and it seems pretty solid. Never thought I would be running it on this phone though.

I'd go with bright green for the map.

 

Green blends in with some terrain. Kinda like the yellow does.

 

I liked the idea of Sprint yellow. However, yellow does make it difficult to view. I'm not big on red or blue though given the associations with Verizon and ATT. I wouldn't use magenta either.

 

Any other color should look good. Maybe a green or orange?

We aren't ready to announce the Minnesota market yet. We are scrambling on making market maps for all 97 markets. However, we haven't done Minnesota yet. Stay tuned. We will hopefully have more maps in the next week!

 

I should be able to make some more. I am thinking of changing the highlight color though as the yellow is hard to look at sometimes. I did it for the sprint color but I might go with a blue or red to make it easier to see. Let me know your thoughts.

Trying to help my kid use itunes fixed me right up. Never ever will I own a device that requires itunes.

Easy stinger... I wasn't "bitching" about the towers at all. Nor do I own a "diamond encrusted iPhone" (not a single iDevice here, for that matter). I was simply showing how they are doing some of the towers in PHX. So, no need to make assumptions and get hostile.

 

PS. They make the "hidden towers" in the form of various other types of trees as well. Perhaps this style would better fit your geographical placement.

 

 

Still the wrong kind of tree... Katrina, Rita, and Gustav cleaned all of our pine trees right out.

 

In all seriousness, we don't have short towers like that anywhere around here. All of ours are much taller towers. There's one "tree" antenna in the middle of an apartment complex parking lot. The only one I know of around here. It looks so out of place and retarded looking. Its brown and has dead tree limbs near the rack of antennas. Looks like a cell phone tower with some crap hanging off the side to me.

I swear I have seen those maps some where before... I just can't place it!

Its funny to me when I see these gigantic cell phone towers. They're not nearly this much of an eye sore around PHX. In fact, many of the new ones you would mistake for a palm tree.

 

 

I think those things would look out of place in Louisiana :-) I for one think they are ugly...nothing wrong with the look of a cell tower to me. If you bitch about the look of a cell tower and don't want it in your town then you have no right to complain about coverage on your diamond encrusted iPhone.

One disadvantage with it is reliability. I was in Baltimore last year and it snowed 3 or 4 inches that evening. When the snow covered everything, the 4G went down. It was not restored until almost 24 hours later.

 

If that main tower goes down then you have many cells that are down as well.

I know the protection sites around here it looks like they almost mount the antennas smack dab on the monopole without a "rack".

That 1100 is from the tower at Blackwater and Hooper (rural tower). I bet that 700 is too. If I am right next to the tower sitting at the stop light I've hit 1700 a couple of times there as long as it is off peak.
