  1. Right, but read the rest of my post. When I actually click on the Google Prepaid Card, it never asks me or gives me the chance to fund it, it simply goes to "Adding card... Verifying your account with Money Network", sits in that status for a while, then gives me an error message. It won't actually let me add the card or fund it.

So, am I doing something wrong, or is there an error with the app/service?

  2. So, do I have to purchase a Google prepaid card from somewhere else? I was under the impression that I sign into Google Wallet, and I can purchase/fund the Google prepaid through the app, only when I click on Google Prepaid Card to start the process, it hangs and never goes any further.

  3. I noticed the same thing recently but I attributed it to the fact that since I don't have to swap out batteries with this like my OG Evo, I rarely reboot the phone. Once I rebooted the performance was back up. Now I just turn it off and turn it back on every couple of days and I have no issues.

I had that same thought as I went to bed, so I rebooted the phone and it seems like it's back to normal now. I was used to the Echo I had where I was swapping out the battery twice daily. I was also a little surprised to see how much RAM was being used on a normal basis.

  4. Seems like my evo is struggling lately. Sluggish. Takes some time to "load" after closing out of certain apps and returning back to three home screen. When I look to see what is running, it says I'm using choose to 600mb and have about 80mb left in ram. When I look at what's being used in the running apps tab, it isn't week close to 600. More like 125. Any thoughts?

  5. If your new router is dual band you an also use the 5GHz wifi to connect your Evo since it's likely not many of your neighbors would be on those channels.

This is a great feature. I have my main desktop and my phone connected to the 5GHZ signal, my laptop, the wife's phone, and anyone else I allow to access my wireless router connected to the normal signal. It isn't as strong of a signal, the range is certainly not as good, but very fast and very stable in the house.

  6. I turned off notifications from almost everyone, but my closest friends. The first person I ever turned off was my sister in law. The funny thing is, every night I get a verbal update from my wife on all my sister in law's updates. If anyone can figure out how to turn THAT off, you will be my hero.

  7. Haven't had this issue on my new Evo, but my old HTC Hero tried to tell me I was in Buenos Aires a few times. Always happened when I woke up on a Saturday morning, sometimes after drinking a lot, and it was like Sprint was trying to play a joke on me.

  8. The older I get, the fatter my fingers get. I used to swear by a physical keyboard, but I have come to really appreciate the Swype keyboard after a little adjustment period.

  9. *they filled my order

I will feel bad if someone goes to pick up their phone and it's gone, but not bad enough to turn down getting my order filled. Besides, it had been there almost a week without being picked up, so F that guy/girl. hehe

  11. I doubt they are doing Saturday shipping when they had several days to do it. I have already come to the conclusion that my local BB failed me. Time to get pissy with them so I can still get my $50 card at another store though. Squeaky wheel gets the grease!

The mobile managers at both locations said that they should get them on their usual Friday truck. Don't give up hope!.

The BB website says they are on sale starting tomorrow, so cross your fingers.

  12. If I wasn't getting such a good deal from BB, I would hit up my local Sprint store, or Wal-Mart tomorrow.

I'm thinking that if they (BB) get my pre-order in for tomorrow, it won't be until late tonight, so I could possibly get an e-mail or something in the morning. I wish I had pre-ordered from the Sanford store, because they have been great every time I called them. That's why I'm going to head over there and see if they have any in stock first thing in the morning. They deserve my business.

  13. Well, I finally got a hold of the mobile manager at the BB location where I pre-ordered my phone. Apparently they only received 4 in their initial shipment, but he says they should get a lot of them tonight, and mine will be set aside as a pre-order. He couldn't say for sure though, so my plan is to go to the other BB in the morning, see if they have them available for regular customers so I can pick one up there, and if not, then I still have the pre-order to fall back on.

    What a mess.

I have to say though, my any BB feelings have turned more into anti location feelings toward the particular store in Daytona, because the two times I have spoken with someone in the other location they have been professional, direct, and able to assist.

  14. Based on my experience when I went to pick up mine, I'm convinced that stores were having issues with pre-orders/reservations not showing up in the system yet the device is actually in the cabinet with the customer's pre-order paperwork wrapped around it. Unfortunately, that doesn't do anything to help folks today since they won't be fulfilling any orders until Saturday.

Yeah, you said that before, so I went to the BB where I pre-ordered and had them check. No dice. Still couldn't get them on the phone though, so I called another BB near me and was able to talk to the Mobile Manager. He said they had not received their phones for Saturday, but told me to call back and ask for him before 6 (end of his shift) so he could give me an update.

Also, since BB now has the "purchase and activate a new EVO and get $50 GC" promo going on, and I have the Phone Freedom promo already, I can get the phone for $100.

  15. Has anybody had any luck about calling best buy? Mine still gave me the story about the customs holding them up.

At least you get to talk to someone. I call the Best Buy in Daytona and get hung up on, or they answer, transfer me to the Mobile department, and then I get hung up on after the phone rings 10+ times.

  16. I was in a similar situation, except when my upgrade was ready, the GNex was out, and the Evolte was about be available for pre-order.

I opted to pre-order the Evolte based on the hardware advances and capabilities, like HD Voice.
