on a gigabit line your more likely to watch 1080p or 2k/4k over standard def. and things like thatDo you suddenly have the need to click another web page or two when on a gigabit line? When I am done reading...I am done reading / browsing. Are you given more time to watch another netflix movie? Web sites should behave the same when on a 30 MBit cable line or a gigabit line.

its been a bit since I've been there so I am hoping that is the general consensus these days.Yea my signal is ok in the valley also. I don't have any real complaints

On the highway its fine in the valley it would just die for anyone I went with who was on sprint.

I swear you were the only person to get good signal there lol!Huh, I moved in late august so I can't comment on anything super recent. However from January until then there's been LTE in the majority of Chesterfield, and usable 3g in almost every other place.

try downgrading and see if it stops? Also what radio are you on?I won't lie, the 3G drops are highly annoying.

yes that fringe area is were I mean mostly, on .15 or .17 I can pull 4-5 Mbps were on any of the other ones I get something like .05 on the same lte tower or no signal at all. I can't speak to how or why that happens but I tend to cycle through the radios every week or so in my quest for better speed. Hopefully when all is said and done it won't matter soon enough. Can't speak to your speed tests, I didn't see a difference. The radio doesn't have that much impact on speeds. According to how it was explained to me by someone who works on the radio, and who accurately told me when to expect the update, the original radios did not report the signal correctly. The new ones do. Are there a few areas where you don't pick up a weak signal like you used to? Yes. But that is in large part by design. Whether you believe me is up to you.

Not worse, just more realistic.
My speed tests and user experience states otherwise. But let's not start up that old argument

Has anyone here tried the 4.4.4r2 radio on their nexus 5. Users on XDA says they saw an improvement on ATT and T-MOBILE. I haven't seen anyone report on sprint connectivity yet.

Seems to me that every radio gets worse and worse for sprint.

do you have a case? If not try using one. I bet the noise canceling mic is canceling your voice. You can quick test it with a piece of tape on the little hole on top.I'm told on about every other phone call that the person can't hear me. Sprint support couldn't fix it, so I just stopped using my n5. Bummer.

I just received a brand new nexus 5 from sprint.
It has tons of stuck pixels. mainly on the top of the screen
Its only noticeable on a black screen with the brightness turned all the way up.
Is this something I can get fixed or should I try to swap it for a replacement
If you just got it swap it. If they give you too much trouble there are pixel unsticking apps.

take a lot of pictures recently? My battery life tanks till it finishes backing the photos up.Lately my stand by time has been terrible. The last two nights I left the phone off the charger and it drained over 50% battery. Any idea what could be causing this? The battery screen showed WiFi as the top user. I love this phone, but it seems to have more battery drain problems than I have had on all previous devices combined.

Ya I'm hoping that's the reason, the closet tower to me has antenna I have never seen before, and I'm pretty sure it's sprint but I haven't had a chance to go get a picture.

I had a similar thing happen last night and had a significant "time without service" issue.

I would hope sprint would win in one of their own stores lol

I was on .15Are you still on .15? That could be the reason you get better service.

I think you may have a magic phone lol. I had multiple sprint phones last time and none were usable.I really don't understand everyone downing the service in the valley. I'm either on 14+ mb b25 or lately b41 which is very usable even down to fringe levels. Even the 3g isn't super terrible during peak hours.

ya hopefully, Chesterfield valley is still unusable 70% of the time. Brentwood seems to be coming back around.I have a feeling that there will be a lot more stories like this in the coming months!

I had that a ton on .13 but the last two don't have that issue but rarely.Question for those of you on the new radio... Do you get kicked off of eHRPD, sit on 1x for awhile, and then get shunted over to EVDO afterwords?
It keeps happening to me every time I lose LTE. The data still works, so no big deal, but I was wondering if it is something local to me or the radio itself doing it.
