  1. The tower was just recently upgraded to 4g only, but it's the only one that I am NOT able to get the darkest (most bars) reading for...perhaps the tower is still in a test phase and lower power? Sent from my SPH-L900 using Tapatalk 4
  2. To clarify sensorly only has a max of 4 bars instead of 5. So my question would concern 3 bars at the tower in instead of 4... Sent from my SPH-L900 using Tapatalk 4
  3. I have a question concerning Sensorly. Does anyone know why one tower will only read a high of four bars instead of 5 (or max number)? It doesn't matter where you take the reading I can only achieve one bar below the max unlike other tower locations where I can get the strongest of readings. I hope I have asked this question adequately so as not to mix or confuse anyone who might have a good answer. Sent from my SPH-L900 using Tapatalk 4
  4. I have Sprint 4g one minute then I roam on Metro then Verizon. Service in the south end of Sanford near the college, is really fluctuating. Sent from my SPH-L900 using Tapatalk 4
  5. During my travels I noticed the towers at I/4 and SR 46 as well as I/4 and Enterprise Rd recieving new panels and rru's. In addition, the tower across from the Seminole Criminal courthouse appears to be nearing an active date. Sent from my SPH-L900 using Tapatalk 4
  6. Such BS. I love having a fast mobile connection but we don't need to break laws to get it. Agreed, no one has suggested breaking the "law" should be or is being excused. However, I still have only seen generalizations concerning this supposed "law" which for all I know is a policy, etc. Sent from my SPH-L900 using Tapatalk 4 Beta
  7. I found these guys yesterday, June 21, 2013, working on a tower in south "Orlando" performing a tower upgrade for T-Mobile. As you can see in the photo's, this tower is occupied by a large birds nest and is active. I spoke to one of the workers who stated work on towers with active nests are possible with special permits. Of course, their are always exceptions; but just because a nest is present does not necessarily mean work can never be performed as I have been led to believe in the past. This is the second tower this week in which I have found tower work being conducted with active nests. The second tower is located in Sanford, across the street from the Seminole County Courthouse (criminal). Sent from my SPH-L900 using Tapatalk 4 Beta
  8. I'm going to assume this means work still continues, but 1xRTT for a data connection is agonizing. (Sandlake Rd/International Dr) I believe we are well into one month of progress, and I hope ro see improvements soon. Sent via my Samsung Note II using Tapatalk.
  9. Are you able to post a link to that info I looked on their site but was unable to locate that info. Sent via my Samsung Note II using Tapatalk.
  10. I got a quick, but strong 4g signal while on SR 415 just south of Osteen today. I'm hoping it was the tower near Celery Rd and 415 being tested. Sent via my Samsung Note II using Tapatalk.
  11. At 1:20 am I was driving west on the 417 just west of JYP. Looking south, my attention was drawn to a flag style cell tower that was lit up with flood lights and I observed a crane with basket against the pole. This cell tower is exactly like the new one that was just installed along I-4 near Par and Princeton. Unknown if this is a Sprint tower, but I do remember reading somewhere that some of Sprint's upgrades were occcuring overnight. Keeping my fingers crossed. It would be nice if somone could provide this towers id number. I believe the tower was located near Town Center Blvd and Hunter's Vista Blvd. Sent via my Samsung Note II using Tapatalk.
  12. I was at Hawaiian Ct and International Dr tonight and got a brief 4G signal but if I moved more then a few feet it was lost. The closest 4g tower that I know of in this area is 1-92 Kissimmee area which I suspect is to far off. Perhaps one of the hotels (rooftops) has been updated and they are testing. Fyi this area is in the 9000 blk of International. Progress, I hope! Sent via my Samsung Note II using Tapatalk.
  13. I'm beginning to have withdraws already! Sent from my SPH-L900 using Tapatalk 2
  14. Besides this one tower, has anyone else seen any progress elsewhere in our market? It's as if the workers have been deployed to Jacksonville or the Tampa markets then again it might be me just going through another impatient spell. Sent from my SPH-L900 using Tapatalk 2
  15. Just bought mine from Sam's. My local Sprint store was more expensive and the manager was flat rude. At Sam's I was at least greeted with a smile and a better price. Sent from my SPH-L900 using Tapatalk 2
  16. It sure seems that way. I have a ritual of checking approximately 6 sites in my area of responsibility, work related, about twice a week and I have only observed one site that has any signs of future activity. The site I reference has new "cabinets" but they are not wired. Changing directions slightly. Do RRU's, emit a green "glow" light that can be seen when standing near and looking up at a tower at night? So far I have only observed this coming one tower that is shared by ALL carriers. 17. Their has been some interesting work being completed on that tower in the last few months. T-moblie equipment that had been located on ground level has been relocated to a newly erected platform which is about 12 feet off the ground. I was waiting to see what, if any, equipment was going to fill that void. According to posted signs at this location At&t, Metro Pcs, Clearwire ("Wi-Max"?) and as previously stated T-moble utilize this tower. Wednesday I return to work and will check this site for more indications. Note: Someone with more experience in this field might be able be able to inform us if Sprint would move from one tower to another since I have confirmed that Sprint occupies the tower located across the street near the water plant/north of Aquatica. I was expecting this location to get NV, but with the active birds nest on that tower perhaps NV could be moved? In reference to this tower, I have noticed several "antennas" and other hardware being stored inside the fenced area. I was assuming the antennas were NOT being installed due to the nest. After reading and viewing "how to spot nv equipement" on this forum, I believe this awaiting equipment to be AT&t, but I could be wrong.
  18. Really? I work in that area and was just checking out that tower on Friday, but did not see any activity. I believe the tower located at JYP just south of the 528 will come on-line prior to the one you have mentioned, but we will see. Back to 528/I-4, I believe their is a roof mounted system on one of the high rises too, but I can't tell if it has been updated or even worked on for that matter. The 3g service in that area has really gotten slow as of resent and I will take that as a good sign until I'm told otherwise. My hope is with the larger conventions and summer tourist season soon approaching, Sprint wishes to have some semblance of a working 4g lte network.
  19. Has anyone noticed any LTE progress over the past 2 weeks in the Orlando market? Between all the driving I do with my work and private life I have been unable to find any new LTE towers coming on-line. I'm not sure if progress has hit a snag or Sprint is just waiting to "fire up" several towers all at once. On the other hand, I have been checking numerous tower locations throughout the market and have not seen any progress at those specific sites.
