  1. Can I get a little help? I've been digging around a bit today trying to locate towers, etc. I assumed that the LTE I was receiving was from a tower marked on Jumpers Hole (Severna Park, MD). I was not getting any 4G signal while standing directly underneath it the evening. However, there was a lot of construction gear there and cables, etc laying around so I'm assuming this is an active build site. So, where am I getting 4G from? I installed Netmonitor and am showing a tower location that is not outlined on any of the maps here. So, is the app incorrect or have I located a new tower? Also, I'll admit that I can't figure out how to cross-reference the info in the interactive maps here with what I'm seeing in Netmonitor. Screenshots below and any guidance/ info appreciated. This site is what shows when I do connect to 4G (signal bounces quite a bit at this point between 3G and 4g) This address is what shows for the tower - no corresponding info in the maps I've seen here though. Specifics on that tower
  2. Ok, so, with humility I post a new update. I ventured around a bit and was getting some freakin' stellar speeds - speeds that I expected with LTE. Now, I do understand that I am probably one of only a few utilizing LTE in the area but if these speeds are consistent (or close) I will be an extremely happy person. As a caveat, this is not my home area but an area I'm in frequently. I CANNOT wait to see LTE start popping in Northern Virginia now. After just a handful of hours with LTE I'm spoiled rotten
  3. I do understand this and am being patient. Frustrated with the crap 3G I'm getting between Dulles Airport in VA and the Annapolis, MD area. I chose to be at the front of new technology so I know what goes with it. Just hopeful that the speeds compete with Verizon as I've seen what they can do and am very impressed with their coverage.
  4. Seeing my first 4G signals in Severna Park. Obviously, there is some tweaking to do as the upload speeds are horrible. I hope this isn't the cap on download - if so, it sucks as Verizon is 3 times the download speeds in this are.
  5. I hope these speeds stay consistent at the levels posted. In the same area I consistently see 15-25 downloads and at least 10 up on my friend's Verizon. I'm very cautiously optimistic this will be good when rolled out through B'more and into the DC market.
  6. Our experiences are quite different then. I have seen Verizon perform at stellar speeds from south of Baltimore through the Bristow, VA area. Sprint service in my condo is horrible - the Airave provides some help. My friend's Verizon service was constantly 20+ there and almost always 15-20 everywhere else. Dulles airport area is spotty on all carriers for some reason. As I said, I'm with Sprint for the long haul. Been a customer for over 13 years and SERO cannot be beaten. Would be nice to see consistent speeds on 3G right now and hoping for a good experience with LTE when it arrives.
  7. Agreed that 3G and 4G can't be compared. But, Verizon speeds are off the hook. From what I'm reading, Sprint won't be anywhere close to what I've seen on many Verizon devices. And the Verizon speeds have been consistently the same across a wide area. I'm hoping Sprint is at least close. I won't leave Sprint but Verizon's speeds make it very tempting.
  8. EVO LTE 4G. Uploading concert videos over 3G was atrocious. My friend on Verizon was getting 20MB/15MB consistently with LTE and made me quite jealous.
  9. I often stream, XM or iheartradio. I've seen severe hiccups with lower bandwidth.Couple that with remote video monitoring, etc and you get lags.
  10. It makes a huge difference if you are streaming anything and multi-tasking other apps, etc. I've been with Sprint over 13 years and won't be going anywhere. SERO is far too good to give up. Still, the 3G speeds I'm getting right now on the EVO LTE are horrible in most places. I've seen LTE speeds of 20+ consistently in some areas with Verizon. Seems Sprint continually falls short of everyone else. I would agree unlimited data is huge. I suppose we'll just have to see how it all works out in the end. I'm in the DC market but venture into Baltimore market frequently so I'm anxiously awaiting some real life experiences soon.
  11. I really hope those speeds are not the norm when this opens up. Verizon speeds are substantially faster on the speedtest results I've done.
