  1. I have good call quality and don't normally miss calls, i rely on my VZW ipad a lot again now though. It depends on the time, your location and how you hold your mouth to it all work. Im not renewing with Sprint again this time. The clock ran out. Tired of paperweight smartphones. Sad

  2. Just got a couple test devices for work. Seeing lots of B26 in OKC...and lots of timeouts when connected to B26. I can't even get a speedtest to complete. I'll try again on a different site later...

I see really bad congestion statewide.  Band 25 and 26 are both hit hard in a lot of places.

  3. If you read this and you are not a sponsor, you should become one.  Sprint has a couple hundred cell sites broadcasting 4G throughout Oklahoma and covers about 2.5 million Oklahomans with dual band wireless LTE.  If you become a sponsor you will get to track that process and continuation into the next network overlay project as coverage will become stronger and capacity constraints are lifted!  Hope you have had a good Sprint experience and are interested in following the "now" network.  ;)  :tu:

  4. Any impact on battery life?

So I still smash through the battery the same as before the update.  To me nothing has changed, except that when i do fall to 3G; 4G is back in a minute.  My phone sees a charger every chance it gets, I am brutal on smart phones  ;)

  5. ** THE FIX FOR THE 3G fallback with no recconnect **

    You need your device MSL#

    (once obtained)

    dial ##data#

    select LTE

    EDIT

    Type MSL

I changed the LTE scan timer from 5 to 2.

You can also arrange your band priorities eg* mine,41,25,26

This worked for me.  I then walked deeper into my home and lost B26; fell back to 3G- and had reconnected to LTE within a minute or two.

    Your welcome

  6. AJ (WiWavelength) Will be making a trip to Woodward, OK  to see whats going on (with a spectrum analyzer). Please show your support and donate to help with the costs (put Woodward trip in the note section of your donation.)  This could be just the beginning of potential CCA partner LTE coverage. (Check out sensorly if you dont know whats going on)

I will be joining AJ in Woodward, we will get to the bottom of this!

  7. What I find interesting is that most Sprint base station equipment is relatively small in size and out in the open.  At least in this area, AT&T still uses those air conditioned, composite material huts for nearly all sites, even for new build sites.  Those huts cannot be as energy efficient, so I wonder why AT&T still uses them.  Since AT&T (nee SBC) is the RBOC here, maybe they also run DSL nodes out of them.

    AJ

Have you ever seen an AT&T squid?  That's why they use the hut!  I wish I could track down a pic.  The install takes up the whole hut.

  8. Your point is valid.  He said Tmo does what it sets out to do, but Sprint doesn't.  My argument back to him is that they do, but not as fast as he'd like.  You have backed up my point that they are doing what they set out do, but not as fast as they originally planned.  Thank you for the illustration.

I too hope they don't try smoke and mirrors.  They need to just stick to the facts, point out their roadmap to achieve and deliver.  Sprint is delivering more and more every month.  The ship is getting righted.  All those saying that Masa and John Saw will fail to deliver because Hesse/Azzi messed up the first half of NV is not really looking at the situation in the right context.

Masa is going to fire the failing executives as needed and keep marching forward.  The 8T8R development has been solid.  And this is the first sign of the new Masa/Saw leadership.

    Robert

The bigger the ship, the longer it takes to turn it around.  Sprint's future is pretty bright, and the fruits of NV labor is showing more each day. B26 is lighting up every day. Before long it will be hard to outrun a Sprint signal (within the stated coverage area).

  9. Yes sir, I'm cashing in my Jersey card, for a year or two.

I really am hoping Verizon can get into my building. They provide service to the apartment building right across the street from mine, and to all the private houses on my block.

"Holding it down"  Hope Sprint is flexible with your move, and Welcome to the Spark network in NYC.  If VZW is prude on installing fiber to your unit poke back up the chain.  IF you really can't get anywhere with them PM me and I can help you solve this.

  10. I think all of you who are in the 5% who don't like the new terms should churn. That will show Sprint.

I probably fit the highest usage consumer bill with an avg of 7-12GB monthly. I fully support the throttling efforts and i'm sure the network will still allow me to finish all my tasks and obligations on the go. It is a win for everyone on Sprint.

  11. vzw has had a hell of a time deploying band 4 through Tulsa. A significant chunk of their network is perched on 40~50 foot utility poles. It worked fine for 700MHz since they could place 4 within a mile, but that broadcast height is not conducive for AWS.

    LG G3

    does it have 64bit cpu?

A 64bit CPU offers no advantage until the device sports more than 4GB of Ram.

  12. My AMD stocks disappoint me everyday.

Sent from my Nexus 5 using Tapatalk

I purchased 4,000 shares of AMD a few years back at around 7 dollars a share, i've had to pick up about 5,000 shares since then do offset that loss. I sympathize with you.

  13. I ran into a lot of 800LTE throughout the midwest this weekend, and with or without Sponsoring this site you can now find B26 in MANY parts of Oklahoma ( I found it hard to outrun B26 in Tulsa this afternoon as I drove all through the County before heading down the Turner. Held B26 Near the mall, Deep in BA, The farm shopping center, fairgrounds area, and all the way out to Sapulpa before dropping to B25 for almost the entire duration of the trip. I HIGHLY SUGGEST  becoming a Premier sponsor to view the continuation of the Band 26 LTE rollout and prepare for an imminent Spark (band 41) deployment.

OKC, I cannot say entirely.  I cut straight through town, Took I35 S and never found B26 until I arrived back at my home site in Norman.  There may or may not be any live at this point, but there likely will be very soon.  Premier sponsors will likely be able to confirm this on the next map update.
