No this is by design, the Note 4 is NOT SVLTE which means in a nutshell you cannot use data while on a voice call. So when you are a call the LTE radio is disabled. Now if your on wifi data will work while on a call, using google voice/hangouts will also work.

I agree to an extent, but i do believe the radio suffers some issues as well. For example I have all three bands on at work (all 3 bands enabled) b41 hovers around 110 b25 around -93 26 around -85 the device will jump between b41 and 3g. Now deactivate b41 and it sits on b25 with an occasional jump to b26 never to 3g? Also when b41 is enabled I get a lot of dropped calls while driving around with b41 disabled very few if any dropped calls? So I dont think anyone can say 100% that there is not an issue with the device. Hopefully with all the time they have had for the upcoming update they have updated the radio and or baseband to correct this.

Mine like 41, and 3g and 26 ha. However if I turn off 41 I'm hardly ever on 3g. Mostly 25 and some 26 and the rare 3g. Sent from my SM-N910P using Tapatalk

Well I was impatient and went ahead with it. So far so good! Oh it has hotspot as well so thats a nice feature. Ill run it for a few days and report any issues.

Well I'd say the first part is debatable. I have had the gn2 the N5 and now the gn4 and the gn2 heavily out performs this thing as far as RF performance. Actually if you use the words "cost prohibitive" then its a money decision which to me means a business decision. Couple of thoughts in no particular order. Doesnt verizons note for work on multiple bands while still supporting data and voice at the same time? If it kicks you off lte during a call why cant it be designed to kick on EVDO while on a call? I guess i find it a hard pill to swallow that i can basically control the universe with this thing but yet I cant try on suits and send a pictures while talking to my fiance. You can give me all the technical reasons you want, but at the end of the day I just think its lame!

I know this has been brought before but lack of svlte or lack of ability to use data while on a call is a horrible business decision in my opinion. I'm surprised Verizon s marketing department hasn't taken advantage of this. Especially in flagship devices! Sent from my SM-N910P using Tapatalk

Still not inpressed. Was sitting on a -59 b26 connection then it boots me to a -108 clear b41 sector then to 3g? So not necessarily rf but signal lock or network management issue? Either way doesn't impress me as a consumer. Sent from my SM-N910P using Tapatalk
