spoke with the ticket department (I have an open ticket for dropped calls), they said things are going to happen on December 10th tentatively.

Lol, I guess it doesn't matter to me if they are turning in the new 3G stuff and not LTE, I mostly stream audio in the car.

They have been working on this since July, there is no reason they can't have LTE up by end of the year.

I usually stream music so once the new 3G is on I should be good ? I saw your previous post so if this is the case my problems with dropped calls and slow data will go away. I'm one of those nerds that won't talk on my phone unless I absolutely have to. Lol

4:30 about, nothing was installed it was all still on the trailer. The network has gotten very bad here I am dropping multiple calls every day. I hope they are close, the guy in charge of the account is wanting to switch. I can only hold him off for so long.

That's what I saw by mine. On another note I saw equipment being delivered to that tower someone thought was new by DMACC.

Phase 2 is suppose to be the upgrade to 800mhz ? So does that mean they are going to turn on LTE here on the 800mhz spectrum at the same time as 1900 or maybe not at all on the 1900 mhz spectrum ? I'm all sorts of confused because I thought the 800 mhz upgrade was phase 2.

I was there around 11 a.m. and yes he said 4G. I walked over and asked and he said they are going around testing the towers.

I talked to some guys at the MLK tower and they said they were there testing to turn stuff on, I think we are getting closer.

such bull that they are doing this, especially with how bad their service was even before work began. Oh well maybe someday it'll happen. lol

I would think that one should be broadcasting quick since fiber is already run to it.

I saw workers down at the tower by Decarlo Demolition again, they had cables up and looked like they were adding equipment. This is the tower that is shared with AT&T, and they did their work back in July. So I'm assuming they were sprint workers. I didn't stop because obviously by now I have realized just because the equipment is installed doesn't mean the tower is anywhere close to broadcasting.

Last time I was there I had a Wimax phone and it worked as it was suppose to at the airport 3-5 mbps down, I would think something isn't right or they are still working in that area.

I also am not holding my breath, I would rather have a nice surprise than another let down. The 3G has improved some anyway, so LTE isn't as dire to me as it was before the improvements began.

Sprint said 6 towers are live in the central Iowa market out of 125. They expect to have another 50 live by end of the year.
