Was this forced LTE? I thought that tower would never get LTE due to the size of the telephone it is on. This is very good news.
It was not forced, but that is because im running baseband .15 on my N5. So normal phones would not connect unless forced.

This is FeeFee @70, if this tower can get LTE there is hope for all. It's basically just a small telephone poll.

I made a crystal clear call to my dad's Sprint phone today - if this is HD voice (both of us were on LTE - his charter line was severed & I was calling to check in), I may actually enjoy making calls & talking to people.
Awesome. I was trying to test that out the other day but could not tell a difference from a regular call. What two phones where you guys using?

Nope but I do have my priority set as 26>41>25 if it makes a difference but it stayed locked on this the entire time there

I hope it stayed connected , the tower is right behind the bowling alley.

I also saw people working on Harvester/McClay in St. Charles site the last few mornings hanging panels. Im guess that may be Clear work but not 100% sure. Someone may have posted in the part of the forum im too poor to be in.

You had 14 days to return or exchange it and you also still had the WiMax phone you could reactivate. Would you rather Sprint have stuck with WiMax? I think Sprint's Network Vision is pretty darn ambitious.
Maybe we could all pitch in a few bucks to pay Killswitche's ETF so we don't have to hear him complain all of the time.

Weird I thought CDMA800 worked on everything as far back as the Evo 3D.
Pretty sure Sprint has this device turned off exclusively because of the issue it was having while on 800 with SMS.

We officially have our first 2 sites with 3G/4G and 800CDMA complete!
Did i miss the announcement? Which sites?

That is because you do not know FDT. Give it a shot sometime and it will become your best friend.
Oh... I love FDT. Haven't tried to change any Framily IDs yet though with it. Thanks for the heads up.

Its against the rules but sometimes chat reps don't actually know the rules. It has been said on multiple threads that it is technically possible to do within their system but store reps won't do it because 1. they're trained not to and 2. that it is monitored for fraud to make sure they are not abusing it. I would recommend that those who are interested in saving money switch before the chat reps get the proper training on the policy.
I know in the indirect stores we don't even have the ability to do it. They have pretty much blocked it from us all together. If we have an issue or made a mistake we have to call in to have them fix it. I think they should have allowed this from the very beginning. Or just made it a flat rate and made it easy for all.

This is the most detailed review I found for the Nexus 5. if anyone here has this phone, do you agree with the review?
I know I love mine and I have pretty much had every phone possible.

I wish there was a way to pin this post somewhere. Great explanation.
I agree.
Do we have any idea at what point our phones will drop 1900 and connect to 800 in terms of signal strength? I wonder because im sure when you are at -100dBm with 1900, 800 would seem like it would be faster.

Looks like we are finally official:

Seth you work for Sprint?
Yes, 3rd party retailer.

Sector 2 of 270/Olive has had no internet access for a few days now. I connect to 4G fine but everything fails to load.
I work in the building that has the equipment on the roof so a coworker that is literally 5 cubicles away from me cannot use 4G at his desk because he pulls sector 2 and I pull sector 1, lol. I walked around the office this evening and verified that sector 3 is ok too, but 2 definitely does not work right.
Do you think that Sprint would be aware of a problem like this already? I'm really not looking forward to calling a level 1 support person who is going to tell me to restart my phone to fix the problem.
If you want send me a message with your phone number and I can put in a network ticket without you having to talk to them. Send me the tower info as well if you can.

I haven't confirmed for all sites, but it looks like if I toggle airplane mode it will then connect to LTE. But not sure if it was another site up the road which caused it first to go to 3g and then maybe handed off to 3g.

signal check does not have any b41 indicator, while the speed certainly is convincing.
I drove all around the south and west area by 55 and 44 and could not get my n5 to connect to any b41.
I will try the loughborough area tomorrow.
I am starting to think that there very well may be a software or hardware issue that is blocking b41 on the n5.
I had the same issues, i tried a week ago and could not get any connection. The Zing i had connected just fine but the my N5 would not connect at all.

Looks like its pretty much everyone. No Voice or Text, data is ok as far as i can tell.

purple sites are fine yellow are no go. The motherhead site I can't connect to at all. And the yellow one north of it. The purple ones I can pick up easily as long as it doesn't try to hand me off to one of those yellow ones.

Your right. I'm not able to connect to motherhead either... This is the first one that I noticed.

So so far we have cornelious, dedub, sethmcmichael, and myself getting triband phones. Anyone else?
Anyone else get a shipping notification for there N5? Mine shows a label was made but no tracking info.
-
We are now up to 23 confirmed TD-LTE sites in St. Louis Metro.
Is this all the Spark is going to be or is there some other kind of speed increase. I have not been able to pick up near 50-60 mbps .

HTC One Max, LG G2, Galaxy S4 Mini, Nexus 5, Galaxy Mega. All releasing November 8th supporting tri-band LTE. For those who stick to this thread only.
Has any one confirmed if the Nexus 5 will launch with it enabled or need a software update like the G2

I agree. The towers that I pass the most I wonder how they will do those towers. Like two of them are on top of a billboards. Another one looks like a little piece of metal.
That red and white pole is a tower. The ones that are in flag poles don't seem to be touched at all.

Haha, i drove by that one the other day. Thats the crappiest looking tower i have ever seen. Especially since there is a super nice one in the car dealerships parking lot less than 1/4 mile away.
