I woke up this morning and look at my phone and guess what: I have 4G LTE. Finally!!!. Did a speed test and pulled down 14000kbps. This is near Lampson and Dale
-
Notice today that the sprint network webpage only shows data speed upgrades only now. No more showing capacity or voice upgrade. It seems 2 data speed upgrades correlates to LTE on the tower while 1 data speed upgrade correlates with 3g update.

I'm hoping one of these day, hopefully soon, we will see an acceptance update with at least 50 lte for OC.

Come on sprint. Pick up the deployment in OC already.
- On 8/12, Orange County - 4 updates (3 LTE).
- This is what needs to happen here. I would like to see this or better, daily.

I have a question about a tower that's closest to my house. You know how the tower is not circular but triangular shape with the panels on three sides of the triangle? Now, my the sides of the triangles (panels) are not facing my house directly, instead, the vertex of the triangle is pointing at my house instead. Does that effect my signal since the panels are not facing my house directly and that I get the vertex of the triangle?

I just did a speed test at harbor and garden grove while waiting at the speed light. I got 21782 kbps down and 6435 kbps up with 43 ms ping. Damn that's fast LTE.

On my phone in the LTE Enginerring screen, it has:
STATE: Connected(2)
RSRP: -114, RSRQ: -10
Does that mean I'm currently connected to 4g lte even when it has the 3G icon on the status bar?
Also, in the 1x Enginerring screen, my RSSI is -98. What can I expect when lte is install on the tower close to me? Also, RX Pwr bounces between -99 and -104.

So, anyone know what the new timetable is for 800mhz rollout for voice, 3g, 4g lte?

Looking to do the same thing in two weeks, deep; did Sprint insist on an activation fee for the upgrade?
Yes. I asked two telesales people and they would not budge. I told them I have never paid the upgrade (activation) fee before and that it was always waived. I guess it depends on who you ask.

Just got my galaxy s4. I tried to do it online using the activate new phone link but it said I needed to change plan so I used echat instead. Got my phone activated and still on sero-p 500. Loving the new phone and it picked up LTE for 3 minutes when I was in backyard.

What if I don't activate the phone?

Cool...deep..let us know
Okay. So, I ordered the galaxy s4 and asked them many time if my plan was going to change and they said no. I was disconnected once and called back. Both rep said that sero premium is compatible with all smartphone so I do not have to change plan and my plan will stay the same. Nothing has updated yet on the sprint website when I log in. My order did go through as I got the order confirmation in my email. Damn, it's over $350 for the phone after taxes, shipping, and activation fee. I'll get the mail in rebate form in the order too for the $50 back, so it'll be $300 after rebate.
So, far, when I check my account online, it looks the same still so I don't know when they will update or if it is already updated. He did ask why I kept on asking if my plan will change or not. I told him about the new plan and rumors that people who upgrade will be force to change to the new plan. He told me that he knew about the new plans and that my sero premium was compatible with all smartphone so I would not be force to change plan and be able to keep my plan.
That's what I have so far. I was hoping for the galaxy s4 active to come out but didn't want to risk waiting and then having to change plan when I upgrade my phone in the future. I'll let you know if anything changes.
-
Okay. I'll be the guinea pig. I'll call telesales to upgrade my phone and see if I can keep my current plan.
-
Here comes a stupid question: How do I know if its a corporate sprint store or not?

I was looking to upgrade my phone this month to the galaxy s4. I am currently on sero and was eligible at the beginning of this month for an upgrade. Anyone know if I can still upgrade and keep my sero plan online?

Just checked and the tower at Lampson and Western is 4G accepted. I'm picking up 4G from that tower. There are two towers that are closer to me that are not 4G yet. Can't wait for those two to be accepted.
