  1. I am literally dying right now. Getting my brakes checked and this is what I get! 5 bars of coverage and fast as hell download. Also picked up LTE over near Waterford lakes plaza. Maybe they are testing it this weekend? Yay lol

    where in waterford was this?

  2. I've experienced the same thing curry ford and dean tower is down. The curry ford tower is only evdo.a also I have been roaming a lot more than usually and ehrpd hasnt been available.

Would this have anything to do with the nextel shutdown?

  3. I live in Waterford almost all sites have been prepped. Just a matter of time.

That is great to hear. Waterford area has been abysmal lately.

Wow, I gotta say that's the best LTE speed test I've seen so far. I think I saw someone get 38mbps download somewhere before, but this is the best in Orlando by far.

i think i posted 37.7mbs in this thread some pages back while on east colonial just before i95.

  4. Currently getting up to 9mbps download & 3mbps upload with 4 bars on LTE at Colonial Dr. & Avalon Park Blvd. First time getting good LTE coverage on that side of Avalon Park.

That tower has 4g now. Before it was just the tower in front of timber creek high.
  5. I'm not worried about the speed for now. Its the only tower in the area and its getting taxed pretty hard. I expect faster speeds when more towers show up because it will relieve the pressure on that one tower. I must say though, that tower has some impressive range. It reaches all the way to forsyth.

  6. I am right across the waterford lakes mall, and let me tell you that I have the absolute worst 3g I have ever experienced, anywhere. Trying to load maps to get anywhere (just moved here so I have no idea where anything is), is a task and by the time I reach my destination my battery has significantly drained. And let's not talk about re-routing if you make a wrong turn, good luck lol. I am really really looking forward to those towers around my area being activated. Even though I have the 4S, I experienced the faster 3g speeds down in Palm Beach Gardens, FL before I moved and they are very enjoyable clocking in average around 1.5-2.3 mb download. I am very excited, hope they pick up the pace. :)

Waterford area probably has the slowest 3g and no lte in the east Orlando area. The tower that covers it is being worked on though because lte panels are up and network.sprint.com shows upgrades being done to it. So just a little longer.

  7. Not to be a downer but I'm pretty sure you were not connected to the Lee vista tower from colonial and alafaya but most likely the new tower a different tower, because I'm in cypress springs and I have yet to connect to that tower lol which is in the same direction as alafaya and colonial but half the distance. So idk.

  8. I finally got a 4G/LTE phone and tried mapping Sensorly from 417 at Curry Ford to Semoran and 50 via the 408 and then back on 408 to the Research Park area. I got 0 4G points. So far, I have seen very responsive switching between 3G and 4G with this phone (Galaxy S4). What is going on??? Did they turn everything off???

The Lee vista tower is what's giving curry ford and 417 lte but its very faint from long distance. The semaron and curry ford tower has lte panels up but is not active yet. Its going slow, but slowly but surely more towers will go active because many towers have panels up.

  9. Pretty much, Orlando market is on snooze. Someone hit the alarm. Hopefully by the end of summer at least twice as many towers in Orlando the city will go live. Many towers have Sprint LTE panels, there is another issue that's holding everything up.

  10. Anyone know if tower

    OR03XC045

is backhaul complete? There are times I get great service, and times it is super terrible. Pings go as low as 94ms to as high as 400ish.

ETA: The timings of when things are good/bad seem to be random, as there are both day and night times where I see wild swings of performance.

You may want to remove the tower id and put street names instead.

  11. 2013-04-08_17-13-49.png2013-04-08_17-25-00.png

Caught it as I was driving down General Reese, and held the connection all the way down N. Lakemont Ave till I got to my street which is not too far off. I couldn't narrow the tower down, but I've got a pretty good idea where it was coming from.

Yep, looks to be a new active tower. About time it gets closer to the main area.

  12. 37.76 mb/s down and 11.71 mb/s up.This was taken on east colonial and i95 tower. Pretty darn impressive. Noticing also there are many many towers with sprint lte panels that are not active. Whatever is slowing down orlando market its not the panels.

  13. Where in Conway is that tower? Conway Gardens or Hoffner?

    Its on conway and hoffner.

There is also another tower with panels up on south orange ave. and landcaster rd.

Semeron and Curry ford has panels up.

Colonial and Alafaya on top of the hotel are lte panels.

Dean and curry ford has lte panels.

Chickasaw over 408 has lte panels.

These are from the towers Ive noticed.

No backhaul is my guess on why none of these towers are active.
