  1. I removed Signal Check from my phone after all the upgrades were finished but I guess this speedtest shows that sensorly is measuring combined bands. Does anyone know if Signal Check is doing that? Looks like the notification only shows one band, huh?

The latest updates show b41.2 when you in a area that has a 2nd carrier

  2. woohoo finally a huge update in the cincy market almost all of northern ky is nv 1.0 upgraded with at least 3g service looks like they might be finished by middle to late july with towers that is full upgrades may take later for more info on what towers have been upgraded please donate what ever you can

  3. what most people don't understand about the cable indestry, is they are almost always "RE" broadcasting someone elses signal. so that being said broadcast companies have been pushing cable companies around for the last 10 yeas. in some cases asking for a 500% raise in revenue case in point when i worked for insight communications "the game show network" said "pay us 400% more or we won't let you broadcast our signal anymore" insight thankfully said bye bye GSN another network that costs absolutely TOO much is ESPN which makes up about 1/4 of what we all pay for our cable bill. most cable companies lose money on "Cable" but internet and phone are theirs and its 100% pure profit, hence the reason why double play offers and triple play offers are often less then having cable by itself. i currently work for comcast through a contractor servicing the greater boston market and western new england market that includes states like CT NH NY ME. currently if you have just cable, every channel will cost you around 170 dollars plus tax. every channel plus 50 meg internet plus unlimited phone costs 167 plus tax both  packages are 1 DVR HD and every channel and just so everyone knows ESPN cost to insight was 57 dollars per subscriber i don't know what it costs time warner or comcast but it wouldn't be hard to guess that its close to the same if not more as the number i have is from 4 years ago

  4. yeah clear hows alot of its own towers and own deployment even when the site is co-located there may be clear upgrades but sprint still has legacy equipment like the colerain area and no triband phone will work without the CSFB being on all the towers in that area and that won't happen till samsung upgrades the tower and the legacy equipment is taken out IE (4g only sites won't have CSFB) as you are still connecting to legacy equipment for voice and text

  5. If you download the app "Signalcheck Pro" you can see what tower your phone is connected to and it can show you on a map. It's two dollars I believe but fun to watch when you are around town. Sensorly is the other favorite app that shows where LTE has been spotted (purple). I'm sure many of us including myself use these two apps and they should be helpful for you as well.

    where's that at

i was at tri-county sprint paying my bill my SG III picked up 4G LTE.... the rep told me the signal was coming from Mulhauser Road

but the signal was weak, as i was going home i was on princeston pike on 747 i still  got 4G LTE, he said they are turning 4G on

    for a bit then off

yes i highly recommend those apps i use them daily starting in march i'll be using them on my routes when i start doing outside sales again i'll be mapping purple in alot of new places and getting paid while i do it lol

  6. I ran into a crew at IN03UB081 in RIchmond, IN.  They were swapping the panels because they had  accidentally installed 2 of them in the wrong sector. (I did not realize it made a difference)  They were scheduled to do a "Cutoff" (switch to the new backhaul) today for this cluster.  Since they had to swap the panels, this has been moved to February 7th he stated.

He also said that they are also in the process of installing 2.5 cards in all of the towers in the Cincinnati market.....

    awesome news
