  1. i think there testing because once there turn it on theres usually a 90 day optimization period..after a few days or a week or so should be getting better. when idrove by the tower phone didnt switch to 4g until i was at morans tv and turned off at hubbard park..then coming back held on to 4g until hanover st. so things are lookin up...now the hanover st tower downtown needs to be upgraded and the we will be in business  :tu:

  2. yup no LTE but they did do a 1900mhz 3g upgrade and LTE is gonna be in the next 2/3 months..spoke with a rep that has the tools to see alot and what is being done where and from what he saw and whats being done is little increment upgrades being done at a time to each tower..so its a slow process but is moving forward from now until december...i drive by w.main st everyday back and forth to work and live in the are so my eyes are peeled, but the count down has begun.

  3. nice timh...i havnt had a vehicle for about 2 weeks so i havnt been able to see anything going on...i drive past that tower everyday bringing the wife back and forth to work but since the the vehicle has been out of commision havnt seen anything, i sure hope they are doing NV upgrades because i have been losing 3g data connection..and that tower is 2nd closest while the hanover st tower is the main tower i hit off of...hopefully its a sign of good things to come.

  4. the tower that serves my area is by far the worst ive seen in almost 8 years...pings as high as 2400 ms and download is 0.03 mbps and upload is about the same...after even speaking with tier 2 engineers they all say its capacity issues, and at times if im not connected to wi-fi my phone is useless for data...so i know your pain timh...the last bit of info i heard as of july 1st was 3-6 months when all the upgrades would be finished...so lets keep our fingers crossed..the sooner the better!!...lol

  5. the tower behind starbucks is indeed a LTE tower and has been since about january/febuary...what they were doing there wouldnt have a clue but maybe adding more as far as NV upgrades...hopefully that is a good sign as to work coming to the w.main st tower and hanover st. here in meriden..those 2 towers are the last 2 that need to be upgraded and so desperately need it...thanks for the update and photo banananuts87.

  6. Talked to 2nd tier ticket support and supervisors in network support who when talking to them you know they know what there talking about, and he assured that NV is going forward but all the red tape they can possibly run into has popped up...but both hanover st. And w.main st are both getting 3G and 4G upgrades and hanover st being on the priority side in a nutshell he related that both towers should be upgraded 3-6 months and made it sound like 6 months being the longest scenario...have eyes on both towers and as soon as i see a crew i will take pictures and maybe try and get some info from one of the crew members.

  7. my first time posting..from what i have been told by sprint reps in the network engineering dept. that the towers on the west side of meriden being w.main and s.vine st...and hanover st are to be upgraded with in 3-6 months and this info was as of july 1st. the last time i seen any crew on the tower on w.main st was back in january/febuary and recently in the begining of august but the company didnt look like a cell crew but maybe for hunters radios as i talked to a employee and they have been working the bugs out of there system. just upgraded to a LTE device and want to do some LTE testing which i know is live at the mall, the old fosdick building on s.broad st behind starbucks, and a building on paddock ave. down the street from the state police academy. keeping my fingers crossed for some NV upgrades soon here as i to know what the service has been like on this side of town..im including my findings from the last time a saw a crew at hunters.post-9065-0-08166400-1376898001_thumb.jpg
