Anyone else experience google search app not working saying its offline when roaming on Tmobile? Vacationing in Hawaii and roaming on tmo at rental house. Wifi fixes issue when available.

Read the text exactly... it says simultaneous voice and data will only be available when Volte is turned on in your area. It does not say you will not have data. Simultaneous means at the same time... ie being able to use data while on a phone call.

Is there a way to force the device to use a different PLMN? Maybe via chameleon (like on Samsung devices via ##omadm...need the engineering password though) or some other method?

000000 works for the msl password on the omadm menu. I was to afraid to change my S9 from Sprint Production though as i am unfamiliar with that menu.

Calling plus allows for HD calls as well. And that's good because I'm starting to doubt whether VOLTE will ever come to the S9...

What's crazy is it's just the March update but it came in at 527mb. I thought it was volte for sure or maybe allowing for new configurations but I can't find anything. VoLTE issues are coming from all over so I'm guessing that's why they decided not to release it.

I wish Sprint had uploads that fast. A man can dream. 

Well if you have Sprint 15x15 L1900 like we do here in Portland then you can have uploads that fast.. and yes the screenshot shows me currently on wifi but look at the external IP of the test and you will see it was Sprint.

What's funny is it's not even 1 street down. A couple miles down the same road from me, the magic box address checker says it will work
 

I just tried to get my brother in law a magic box and it says his address is a no go. He literally lives a half mile from me and closer to the towers than me. My magic box gold works perfectly at his house actually better there than my house gets band 41 donor and says excellent signal whereas i can only get band 25 donor with "poor" signal displayed on the magic box yet my address is good to go in the address checker. Hell my phone picks up band 41 from town better than the magic box does. Maybe they rely on the coverage map to help decide if your address is eligible or not. What does the coverage map show for your address?

I push terabytes of upload via cellular. For 15-20 bucks a line I can cover several locations and a car or two with cat-12 goodness for 120 a month. Each use case is different and pricing plans vary so much but ya can't knock people for getting online the best way they can fren [emoji2369]

OKC customer service center is still open as well.   I recently got a phone replaced thanks to a very good and dedicated customer service agent at the OKC support center.  

Which side of the gen 3 magic box should be aimed at the donor macro for best signal?  Front (screen side) or back?

I've been away in Austin for business for the last 3 weeks.  Has the Portland network had issues?    I can say that the Austin network has been bad the whole time I have been here.   Very slow data.    My hotel has a severely overloaded magic box to a mini macro that is so bad I had to turn off calling plus just to make phone calls.

Right but under the current band 41 configuration my understanding is that fast of an uplink speed would not be possible.

Update:

After taking the magic box to a B41 macro while using the battery going thru initial setup and then returning home and plugging it in it has completed setup and now is working on B25 albeit but it is working. Gonna leave it plugged in without moving it and hopefully it will learn the network and connect to B41 as my phone does in the same spot.
