Ok voice signal, 3G and LTE all work on the amount of bars u have.

Yes you are right, but what I am saying why isn't it determined by the bars. I guess maybe cause the Bars do the CDMA and 3g? Idk what I am talking about someone should clear things up for me

Chris
No I meant to say, it is done by the bars. Im sorry if I confused u more
-
I still don't understand, the signal bars should indeed indicate LTE. I mean how else would you know xD I wouldn't want to go in the settings all the time. Do you happen to know how it works on the iPhone?

Chris
According to what I understand the signal strength of lte has to do with the signal strength of the cell tower ur connected to. It sounds a little strange but I'm pretty sure I read it on here. Someone correct me if I'm wrong
-
The speed was horrible but you have to take a look at the signal, he doesn't have much bars.

Chris
Had 1 bar before and got similar speeds on 4g before. At least the ping time is somewhat ok. Lol

Thank you for clearing that up. I love this site, I always learn something new. Education is very valuable. Once again thanks.

A lot of helpful people on this site. I agree )

Looks like someone started in that area already...let me know when canarsie or clinton hill pops up ill map it
Around that area was mapped but not specifically. Will let u know if I spot any other locations. It's kinda cool I'm not searching, but they just popped up with lte.

10th ave Btwn 49 and 45 in Brooklyn has lte if anyone wants to map
-
The speed was horrible though

The existential question of all time: if LTE is deployed, but no one has mapped it on Sensorly, does it really exist?
AJ
Lol. No easy answer for that

Had a question. Looking up in Baltimore a specific address and on the sprint site it shows all orange showing it being covered. Doing the same on sensorly, it's showing up as no coverage. I know the sprint sites are accurate and sensorly is done by the user, but since Baltimore has lte in so many places, doesn't it make sense that such a large area would be shown on sensorly?
-
I see on sensorly purple throughout 44 and fort Hamilton through the lower numbers 43,42,41, etc... Anyone tried it out yet? How strong is signal???

I'm expecting by end of January at least 30% of NYC should be done.

Thats me. I pretty much been looking for LTE on my found since i got it on launch.
I'm all over the Prospect park, Bedford, Linden and rogers area on the 4g map in brooklyn.
I found the fastest and best signal on parkside between flatbush and bedford after a run in the park. 18.20 Mbps down and 4.83Mbps up. Where i live on linden the signal is faint and seems to only be high up. I'm on the 6th floor and get LTE signal but the speed for LTE is slow 4 Mbps down and almost no upload about .024Mbps, actually the test would timeout due to almost no upload. If the coverage grows or improves in the area i'll post an update.
That's where I did my speediest last week between Flatbush and Bedford on park side. Check back a few pages for the pic of the speedtest. Think it was 25 down and 5 up

Looks like it

My phone has been displaying 3G since Sunday. Could it be possible that Sprint is working on the Network?
Sent from my SPH-L710 using Tapatalk 2
What does it usually display instead of 3G?
-
Would it be ok if I opened up a new thread for the Brooklyn area?

Thanks for the info. I would like to help the site out as well as being helped out myself. Don't really have that much to give now. What do people usually give?
-
Sponsors map. You can see for yourself.
U mean on the actual sprint website?
-
I think it means first quarter of year. So I guess it means by end of march? What part of ny are u from, iPhone5?
-
They launched LTE in a few more cities even in PR. and CA !! Maybe by Q1 we will see LTE all over NYC and in some part of long Island!!
By end of first quarter the majority of nyc should be done. Patience is what we need
