Sucks. But at least it is not another year. Looks like they are close. Looks like the county has been using Sprint as a cash cow . The funding allocations should have been resolved years ago.According to this article, San Bernardino County has been granted an extension for the 800 MHz rebanding until August 21, 2015.
Pushed backed again. Darn.

http://blog.npstc.org/2015/04/04/sprint-reports-border-rebanding-progress/
Sprint Corp. said that the company and incumbent 800 megahertz band licensees in the U.S.-Mexico border region have signed 121 frequency reconfiguration agreements and 38 short-form letter agreements, for a total of a 97% signed rate. The carrier also said that 28 retunes have been completed, or a 27% rate, as part of realignment. Sprint submitted an 800 MHz rebanding report yesterday in WT docket 02-55.

What's with the "82 counties in California"? There are only 58 counties in the entire state. And Sprint is already released to use their rebanded 800MHz in all except Kern County, southward.
Using Nexus 6 on Tapatalk
Kern County southward is probably bigger area than most other whole states. And with a population that includes Los Angeles, Orange County, and San Diego more populated than most states.

Where did you hear about May 2015? I thought it wasn't until later on in the year.
Well, June 2015 completion date as of June 2014.
"estimated one year post approval of this amendment, June 17, 2015."

Any update on the San Bernardino situation? Last I heard they will be done with the switch over by May 2015.

I recently noticed a huge jump in B41 in northern, mid, and parts in Newport Beach. Average speeds around 20~30 Mbps. I personally would be OK at being throttled to unlimited 20 Mbps if that meant getting that speed everywhere! Throttle for a high average per user!
traveling this morning up the 5 from San Diego, I locked on lte2500 and b41 for several miles upon entering OC. Signal check was also reporting 2 to 4 adjacent cells at the same time.

I'm in FL vactioning, and I tell you what, experiencing the combinations of B25, 26, 41, and 800 on LTE and 3G is freakin great! This will be huge in San Diego once it's deployed and active! REAL HUGE!
Yes it will be huge. But the terrain in Florida is pretty much flat. San Diego has all kinds of terrain with hills and valleys which can be havoc on signal quality. I'm sure you are aware of that.

Very disappointed in the data and voice connections i got in Disneyland yesterday. Slow downloads and faint signals. Sometimes would pick up LTE, but only lasted for a few seconds. Signals non-existent inside the Indiana Jones line. . Worst part is the poor signal drains the battery of the LG G3. This was my first trip with a "Spark" capable of phone, but I saw no improvement over my S3 galaxy, from a couple months ago.
Orange County needs 800 LTE

Hey guys, new to the forum. Just moved to Menifee about 8-9 months ago and the service at my house is terrible. Audie murphy ranch to be exact. Just wondering if anyone else lives in that area and experiences the same. It looks like I just so happened to move into the absolute worst possible spot for sprint coverage, as both sensorly and the sprint website show that the approx. 1-2 square mile area that I live in does not fall into the coverage area of any nearby 4g towers I just need some straight forward advice on if I should be expecting improvement or if I'm just SOL. Have a HTC one and get dropped calls, missed calls, barely usable data/internet,... the whole deal. thanks!
Sometimes we stop in Menifee for Texas Roadhouse. Yup. Sprint is not that good in that area. The upgrades have been slow on the l215 from March ARB to Temecula.

it definitely has improved. But still need 800 LTE in South OC.So before this thread goes dead how is everyone's service going in the OC? They are doing another 2.5 upgrade on a sprint tower in Newport Upper Bay. It's the tower build into the cross on a church. Good to see all the 2.5 upgrades happening.

I think it will be the opposite. In my experience faster speeds = more data usage. With a reliable and fast LTE network people are more apt to stream video more often or do bandwidth intensive tasks.
As the network gets stronger unlimited will be a better and better deal. Just look at all the Verizon grandfathered unlimited people who would never leave even when they have to pay full price for their phones and lines.
That's actually what I meant to say.

Once we start seeing some reliable LTE and faster downloads speeds everywhere, people might rethink the amount of data they need.
