  1. This is partially true. I read in another post somewhere that the iPhone is a bit more picky with when it will allow an LTE connection. If it senses that the signal is too weak, it will go to 3G instead.
  2. The other anticipated Brandon area tower is around 1221 N. Valrico Rd, as far as I can tell.
  3. Yep. We're an iPhone neighborhood, I guess.
  4. The anticipated batch of launch towers was back in this post by S4GRU, for those who may have missed it.
  5. I'm getting the signal over in my neighborhood (Bloomingdale West). I seem to drop back to 3G whenever I put my iPhone in my pocket. This must be due to its relatively weak ability to pick up LTE signals (compared to the GS3). I have a solid two bars, which translates to -106 to -111 using *3001#12345#*. But I have no idea how iPhone signal strength translates to conventional LTE signal strength.
  6. Yeah, but not the tower in that parking lot, though. It's about a mile south of there off of Bell Shoals. The tower is actually in a field that's not really accessible from the road. Its formal address is 4717 Rockingchair Drive.
  7. Yeah. The area is awkward... On one side it's technically Brandon (South) but across the street is Valrico. Lithia and Fishhawk Ranch are around the corner.
  8. Between Bloomingdale and Fishhawk/Boyette. The tower is actually by that Catholic Church. I actually lost my LTE by the Walmart.
  9. Any Android-wielding Brandonite able to map it?'
  10. OMG Just got LTE on Bell Shoals!! Screenshots later tonight. Damn, speak of the devil!
  11. Going back to the anticipated Tampa schedule, it looks like Brandon's getting just a few towers at launch. Luckily for me, there's a tower slated for launch right by me on Bell Shoals. But for now, we can only live vicariously through our friends in Pinellas and the northern Tampa 'burbs. http://s4gru.com/index.php?/blog/1/entry-287-tampa-network-visionlte-deployment-schedule-update/

  13. My iPhone keeps getting kicked off EVDO to 1x all over the Brandon Mall and USF areas. But that's probably just capacity issues.
  14. One of the downtown Tampa sites (TBT Forum) has been updated as complete by S4GRU. Can anyone confirm/map it?
  15. I was in the USF area today and decided to take a drive up to the SR 54 site. My iPhone's never been happier. I was also able to pick up that signal on County Line Rd if anyone wants to map it sometime.
  16. There's a time difference from when those speeds were captured and the time of screenshot.
  17. I certainly hope so. That entire area is in desperate need of new backhaul and additional carriers. And forget about inside the mall.
  18. Just got on Sensorly and saw the Spring Hill site. Been shadowing this thread from Brandon for ages, so I rushed over. So gladd to see progress in Tampa Bay!
