If you mean TPA (Airport), it is possible to catch weak signal from the tower just north of the field. The Marriott (which you will see all of the various carrier cabinets and antennas mounted below the revolving restaurant) as of this morning, has had zero activity. I work there and check every day.

ya I checked sensorly and that's what it was
  2. whats the fastest speed we've see in the area so far? Seems like most people are getting 12-15 mbps with highs in the 18-19mbps range. My gf got 30mbps on her S3, i'm just wondering wether that tower has better backhaul or if its been optimized?

ill get 31 down at my house
  3. There is no Network Vision 3G upgrades live yet in the Tampa area. Sprint has to bring 3G improvements up in clusters. So even sites with new NV backhaul will still have 3G on legacy side until the whole cluster that site belongs to is complete.

    ok thank god
  4. Had to come back to Tampa early. Went back into Covington Park and tower is right at the end of Covington Garden Dr. Surprised at height and how quickky signal dropped off at a distance. I am in Summerfield and think I pick up weak Bell Shoals sigal better. Antennas must be aimed lower.

have noticed the same thing but it doesn't matter for because I live in Covington
  5. It's weird, just started happening a few days ago. I'll be driving where there is LTE but my phone will stay on 3G unless I restart it. It seems even when I restart it it will grab LTE and then switch back to 3G.

mine has a hard time connecting to a weak signal but thats about it
  6. I was just looking at sensory, and it's truely amazing to see the amount of work sprint is putting into their network. We are so focused on the bay area that I don't think some of us don't appreciate what sprint is doing. I see Gainsville got their first tower lit up. There's a couple towers in Orlando going. And of course up and down the east coast. I even see New Orleans got their first tower. I know sprint put themselves behind the 8 ball, but it's clear that they want to give us the best possible network as soon as can humanly be done. I just thought it was cool to look at sensory and see how far sprint has come in a few months.

and I like how they are letting us use it early

I actually am the one that went into the start of Panther Trace from Balm Riverview. I rode my bicycle down Balm Riverview and into that park off of Rhodine road, which is the reason that area is lit up. As soon as I started to get into Panther Trace the signal from the Bell Shoals tower dropped off. As you can see, it reached into Summerfield where I am. With my personal phone, the S3, I can pick up a weak signal in my back yard. With my work phone, and iPhone, nothing. By the way, my other two wheeler is a bicycle and I do ride it through Panther Trace when I do.

I'm hoping one day to see them working on the tower there, but I think I understand why certain towers are being worked and others not at the moment. There may be no reasoning to it but what I would do is hit every other tower or skip a few and hit a wider area, then catch the ones in between to complete the coverage. I am sure I'm wrong on that theory, but think it is a good idea to hit the ones off of the main thoroughfares like I-4, I-275, and US-41 as well, before hitting the neighborhood towers.

ok just wondering because I have an iPhone and I had 2 bars of LTE by panther trace
