  1. I probably shouldn't even respond to this, but this is just too much... I see your location is the Bronx, here is a screenshot from Sensorly (which is the first thing I see every time I open Sensorly maps on my phone) I don't think anything good will come of this thread. I suggest just going ahead and closing it now.
  2. Any idea what is up with the Gonzales site that was accepted a couple of weeks ago? I have gone by it several times in the past two weeks with no indication of 4G.
  3. I went tower spotting with my youngest daughter this morning. Lee @ Nicholson by Mike Anderson's - nothing Burbank by Lakeside Bar and Grill - nothing Highland @ Sotile behind Ruffino's - nothing brief stop at Milk and Honey Gelato shop to make it all worthwhile for my daughter. Oh, I forgot, I did stop by the Brec soccer complex on Burbank. The picture says it all: With all the rain lately, the access road to this tower is under water.
  4. Nothing in Gonzales today. Tried cycling airplane mode several times while at the the stop light at I-10 and highway 30.
  5. I'll be going by the Gonzales site tomorrow on my way to church. Hopefully I can catch some LTE.
  6. Have either of you looked at the tower behind the Bluebonnet post office? I work right near it but because of trees and buildings and the fact that it's on the PO property I can't tell what is on it. I believe Sprint is some where on it.
  7. When I saw the title of this thread, I could just imagine Robert with his head in his hands saying to himself, "Oh great, this is just what I need." Now to educate all the newcomers on how this site works and all things NV, instill patience in people that want instant gratification, and appreciation for what we already have and what is in the works, all while encouraging Sprint to bring their A game. It's a tall order but you're doing a great job.
  8. I went by this site a couple of days ago after seeing the crane there. The gate was open and the were a couple of guys working on something. Unfortunate ly traffic was heavy and I had to get to work. I will continue to watch it for any changes.
  9. Going up Perkins Rd on my way for lunch today I glanced over at the tower (http://s4gru.com/index.php?/topic/2198-network-visionlte-new-orleans-market/page__view__findpost__p__62042) behind Baton Rouge Clinic by the railroad tracks. Hoping as always to see some ropes dangling down or something, but nothing, although with a second glance I noticed the top of a small crane just barely stinking above the trees but not tall enough to reach the the panels. Circling around on Picardy, I found that in addition to the crane there was a truck, a pickup and some some guys. It looked like they were lifting a cabinet over the fence and unloading some pallets of equipment on the ground.
  10. It's funny that if you go to those coordinates in Google Maps (not Street View) you can see an AT&T van pulling out of the parking lot.
  11. Thanks Robert. That does explain alot. Using Sensorly I went back and looked at other carriers coverage at some of the other major airports in areas where Sprint has LTE coverage. In general it appears that Verizon has already begun upgrading their LTE within some airports.
  12. Yes, I have tried cycling through airplane mode with limited effectiveness. It has not helped within airports, though it has helped at times within other buildings. Because Baton Rouge does not have LTE yet, I only have limited ability to play around with the EVO LTE and 4G.
  13. I suppose these explanations all make some sense. It just seems to me that busy airports would be a logical place for LTE because of the high volume of people using cell phones in them. Are there other business reasons, such as the airports charging higher fees for the right to install the antennas, or competition with the wifi vendors, or...?
  14. Is there some sort of "incompatability" between airports and LTE? I regularily fly through Houston or Dallas to San Francisco. I have been able to pickup 4G LTE out on the taxiways of both IAH and DFW but lose it as we get to the terminal. And on Sensorly it is pretty clear that nobody else has 4G within the terminals either, other than a few weak blips. Sensorly has purple all around SFO but not at SFO. What's the deal with that?
  15. I'm confused. The picture I took is of the tower right where the icon indicating 1 network upgrade is located from the Sprint website. There is a tower on the south side of Essen, also just off of Picardy behind LPB, that doesn't appear to have anything on it. Could that one be a decommissioned Nextel site? The other icon indicating 3 upgrades is right where the large tower behind the Bluebonnet Post Office is. Is Sprint on that tower?
  16. This morning I went by the tower behind the Baton Rouge Clinic near Perkins and Essen and took a picture. What am I looking at here? Which one Sprint, or are they all?
  17. Are you aware of any work on the tower behind the Post Office on Bluebonnet, or anywhere along the Perkins Road corridor? Or where on the tower Sprint is located? If the PO tower were to fall in my direction it would just about hit my office. I find it abit amusing that that right behind the Sprint store on Bluebonnet is a tower, which I assumed was Sprint's until one day I asked them about it. It seems to be a Verizon one.
