Is verizon still expanding coverage, increasing density or have they capped out with their spectrum available?
-
With Sprints recent changes, they should be rank 1 in 2H 2017 rootmetrics NYC

-
AT&T will probably end up number 1 in rootmetrics by middle of next year?
-
seeing Verizon's patterns when it comes to T-Mobile they may just stay the same

Then they should be prepared to lose about 10mil subscribers this round rightfully so.

What do you think verizon will do to comeback at tmobile? Do you think they will just stay silent and keep everything the same?

Tmobile will easily take a lot of verizon customers away with their latest promotion. Verizon will probably drop to #2 below AT&T due to this #getoutofthered promo.

We've been here this for far too long. If it was true, why is Sprint roaming on Verizon and now AT&T in many areas?

Because they did not have their act together, now they are leveraging their whole spectrum.
-
Verizon and AT&T are about to be taken over coverage wise by sprint by end of 2018.
-
Only if they can get their band41 spectrum deployed and densify the network. Once that is done, they'll easily be the top rated.
No one can compete with sprint once their b41 is dense enough. No other carrier has these many resources once implemented.

The way that sprint is closing the gap as of recent, they should be number 1 or 2 in every market they service.
-
Do you have a link or anything that states that Sprint is expanding coverage. This is a first I've heard of this. All I know is that they are doing is small cells is dense up their existing network within urban areas.

Deploying small cells is expanding coverage when the macro's cannot even service customers during congestion. That is what I meant, but more importantly, Sprint seems to be closing the gap on verizon very successfully as of recent.
-
Are they though? Without the proper investment, they've been playing catch-up.
Sprint just started deploying small cells in NYC. VZW? They've been at it for two years and have already committed to deploying more.
Now they're deploying small cells in suburbs and other less populous communities; places where Sprint won't get around to improving for a few years because they need to work on their urban network first.
IMO, this is Sprint (and T-Mobile)'s biggest weakness, suburbs near major cities. Once you get out of Boston proper, Sprint's network starts to thin-out quite rapidly. Verizon already has small cells and oDAS systems. (Chestnut Hill, Brookline, Newton, etc)
How much effort is verizon making at the moment?
-
Seems like sprint is expanding the network rapidly at this point, but verizon does not seem to be doing much. Is it likely that sprint will surpass verizon network coverage/reliability wise soon due to their efforts?

1x800 in Hawaiian Gardens! As close as I have seen to SBC so far. Might just be testing because it keeps going back and forth to 1xRTT.

Noticing LTE sticking in a lot more areas than before due to widespread 2nd carrier b25.

Good and bad news in OC.
First with the good news. Multiple B25 carriers are now coming online! I found two instances on interstate 405. On near the Culver exit and one near the 133.
For the bad news, it seems that that great experience we were having for a few weeks is not quite as good. For a few weeks the phone would prefer B41 and now it is back to preferring B25 unless you are really close to the tower.
Noticing the exact same thing as you in the yorba linda/placentia area (north OC)

I hope the announcement is that San Bernardino rebanding is almost complete and they are firing up b26 in so-Cal/Vegas
-
Well I do not want to skew their big data in any way, so I will leave my case off and hopefully others follow. This way their optimization will be better.
-
I am now using my galaxy s6 without a case. Hopefully this helps sprint analyze data using their big data tools more accurately.
-
Sarcasm?

No, it will probably help sprint optimize the network properly too right?
-
I think we should all take off our cases to optimize band utilization and our experience.
-
Do you guys think various popular cases for phones are having a significant impact on signal strength/band utilization on sprints network? Such that towers are throwing users off band41 more often due to case plus being in pocket resulting in more band25/26 congestion.

Does this update fix the HD voice elimination when WiFi calling is enabled? As that would be an oversight with this update!
This does not fix that bug sadly.

I will get it next time im there

Does verizon have any service in Minnesota?
