Boston Network Vision/LTE Deployment schedule update
in The Wall
A group blog by The Wall Editors in General
I have connected to two towers that are listed as 4G complete and also don't see anything even in edit mode on my EVO 4G LTE. LTE is enabled on my phone, as I'm seeing eHRPD connections in "About".

http://insidesprintn...cially-delayed/
In continuation of our earlier post – we can now (un)officially confirm that the FULL launch of the HTC EVO 4G LTE is now officially delayed. This is very preliminary, however, as of 11PM tonight, we can report:- FULL Launch DELAY
- No pre-orders will be shipped
- No HTC EVO 4G LTE devices will be sold in stores on 5/18
- Internal conversations put the launch delay at least 10 days out, however that’s up to customs and a court right now
PLEASE NOTE: This can and likely will change over the next 12-24 hours, but as of right now, that is the status. We will know more after 10AM on Wednesday, and I’ll try to post an update as soon as I can after that.
See the source link for more info and a FAQ. This is a blog by a Sprint employee who has posted many internal documents in the past.

EVO LTE Pre-Order under way with ship dates as soon as May 15th
in The Wall
A group blog by The Wall Editors in General
E-chat told me that the May 15th message was a system error, and that the backordered message is a general message for the preorders. They also said that I should check back in 24 hours for an update.

EVO LTE Pre-Order under way with ship dates as soon as May 15th
in The Wall

My order status had the May 15th message this morning, but I now see the following:
Your order or a portion of your order is in backorder status. If you would like to select an alternate product or cancel your backordered item, please call 866-789-8292 between 8:00 a.m. EST to 11:00 p.m. EST Monday to Friday or 9:00 a.m. EST to 9:00 p.m. EST on Saturdays and Sundays. Please note that cancellation requests may not always process successfully due to the speed of warehouse processing. If you cancelled your backordered item but still received a shipment, please refuse the shipment or call us to process a return within 14 days of receipt. Is it possible that the May 15th message was programmed in before these problems cropped up, and that they've replaced it with the backorder message? Or did my order get in too late and the first round of phones are already spoken for (I ordered within 20 minutes of the phone being available)?

I preordered, and my status on Sprint.com currently says:
Thanks for pre-ordering. A shiny new HTC EVO 4G LTE is waiting for you in our warehouse. Shipping starts May 15th and we will send you an email the second it ships. Delivery should occur within 1 to 3 business days thereafter. You may continue to track the status of your order on this web page. If you have questions, check out sprint.com/preorder for more info.Looks like June 10th is a little less confirmed.
Deal worked out for Japan's SoftBank to purchase 70% stake in Sprint Nextel forming a "New Sprint"

Man, Dan Hesse does not look happy in that second picture. You'd also think that as the CEO of a cell phone company that they could rig up a bluetooth headset or something a little less obtrusive than that white earpiece.
