Yes that's how it's been all day for me on my SGS3. I have a friend on an EVO 4G (OG) in Houston that said her network has been wonky all afternoon, and she can receive but not send texts. She could not make phone calls either. Wonder if the LTE towers had anything to do with this?
Maybe she didn't pay her bill...

Some of Sprints most loyal customers now have iPhones...
Yeah, you know since 8th grade

This is what I experienced this right before my tower was upgraded. Call sprint, they are being very good with problems and reimbursing offset customers.

In 2012, Sprint starts deploying a 1xAdvanced carrier in 800 SMR during Network Vision. This allows better signal propagation for voice and 1x data for devices that are 800 CDMA capable (not the iPhone).
In Mid 2013, Sprint will start deploying 800 LTE. This will allow high speed data to have better propagation.
However, Sprint has no plans to put 3G EVDO on 800. They do not have enough spectrum to put more than 1x and LTE on 800. And in some markets, they don't have enough to even put LTE on 800 (or will have to use a smaller carrier). AJ is working on an article this week on 800 deployment info.

I was reading the iPhone 4s box and it says it's compatible with CDMA 800/1900

Expansion on this, My friend, every time he would try to update his iPhone on his PC it would go to the 'plug into iTunes' screen and not work unless he plugged it into my MacBook or my friend's PC. For this reason, he never really updates anymore. Just not worth it.
This just happened to my friend and his brother. I had to do a full scan of his computer and it was cause by a virus
3G NV towers to LTE
in Network, Network Vision/LTE Deployment

How does it happen? I know that there are a few LTE live towers in The Boston market. But every tower that has been done so far is just a 3G upgrade to NV. Do they have to send out another team to activate the LTE or is it something done remotely. Also, is it dependent on backhaul? I can't wait to be trying out some LTE once the new iPhone comes out, if it has LTE.
