  1. One thing I regret was not buying more sprint stock yesterday, 17 percent bounce on the news.
  2. Well, if they become advanced look for CAPEX to be slashed yet again. I have been a big proponent of this merger but this start and stop BS is really hurting sprint.
  3. Marcelo is the worst at over hyping and under deleverying. He basically lied for 6 months about the progress of their small cell deployment only to turn around and call it a "misunderstanding". Marcelo has near zero credibility. I am still waiting for sprint to have the number one network, it was going to take 18 months some 36 months ago. I wonder where they are at on that.
  4. I wouldnt make that bet. Spectrum is finite and IoT is the big bet wireless is making. That will put further demand on wireless networks.
  5. That is simply not true. The spectrum is worth what people believe it to be worth. Dish can borrow against it, that perceived value is built into their stock price and it is built into any calculation of any prespective buyer of the company. Value is subjective.
  6. They are earning a return on it, it is now worth 30 billion. They have earned 10 billion in less than ten years and didnt have to lift a finger.
  7. Why? That doesnt seem like it woukd be a responsible decision for Dish's shareholders. Time is on Dish's side, as far as their spectrum goes, and building out a protection network buys them more of it.
  8. While this is good news, it only applies to federal and tribal lands. Unfortunately, municipalities of the real choke point, they seem to be held hostage by the NYMBs.
  9. You have to fix the network to fix the reputation. This idea that fixing the network wont bring people to this is dumb. The network is their product, if their product is solid and backed by a good advertising campaign their reputation would change. An incinsistent 5g network isnt going to bring people flocking back. That was their exact strategy with WIMAX and it failed bad. They starved their core network of funds leading to 5 years of nearly zero investment above depreciation to pour funds into a wimax network that wasnt nation wide and in the areas it was launch was spotty as hell.
  10. I dont know if the quad play has all that much value in it anymore. Cable tv is a dying business and it is dying at a faster clip than ever. Maybe the content relationships will be key with the comming of 5g.
  11. It is called net job creation. It does the company no good to maintain an inefficient labor structure. Eventually that leads to 100% of people in that company losing their job.
  12. That was his point. Different users use their phones differently and sprint knows which are which.

    LG V30

I love my v30+. It is one of the best phone I have owned. It does have one major problem, about 50 percent of the time if it goes to 1xrtt 800 it wont reconnect to lte until it is put into airplane mode or powered off. When i first got the phone it would do it every time. I have no issues with reception, but since I live in phoenix and there are many places were you fall to 1xrtt because of the awful site spacing this can get annoying.
  14. The american tax payer is going to help fund rural expansion. The FCC has no money of it's own.
  15. I wonder if they had trouble getting another spectrum lease co offering to market. Why would they go for the higher interest rate of loan not back by asserts?
  16. I hope this is a sign of the progress they are going to make by the fall in deployment and densification because as the network stands now in my area VoLTE would not be a good thing.
  17. With the up load speed they don't show a differnece in real world use. The problem with sprint in real world use in my area is the many places were I walk in doors and lose LTE and the fact I cant stream video on the move because the network is inconsistent. These problems are only partially picked up in average speed tests results.
  18. It is a one off accounting issue due to the tax cut. You might as Well thank the Congress and administration.
  19. If They are right about there numbers, then they are making the right moves. It is up to the consumer to make sure they are on the best rate plan for them. If the cost of sprint reaching out and lower that customer price point isnt offset by the additional revenue for whatever the subsequent reduction in churn they are making the right call.
  20. I dont know. Both AT&T and t-Mobile had bad reputations at one point and managed to change brand recepion without an expensive rebranding.
