  1. Thanks for the tips guys. Just saw a Evo 4G LTE on Craigslist for $75 I might pull the trigger on. Will keep digging in your recommendations too!
  2. Hey guys! I'm currently rocking an iPhone4S and plan on either getting the Note 3 or Iphone5S when they are released. However, I would really like to test out my areas LTE speeds before signing again with Sprint. The 3G just hasn't been cutting it, but LTE is slowly rolling out in Orlando and I would like to test it out. That being said, do you have any recommendations on cheap LTE phones I could buy off contract? Any one know of a good site to do this from, or should I just hunt down Craigslist? Any insight would be appreciated!
  3. Coverage has continued to increase since the rollout of NV and data speeds are getting better.. Slowly but surely. The speeds are still a bit to slow for me, if I had to sign a new contract now, I would opt for AT&T because they continually have the best performance in Orlando. I believe Orlando is scheduled for final completion on May 2014? So it is up to you to see how the service is going. Personally, I am giving Sprint until my contract is up in October. If I don't see solid 3Gperformance at that time, I'm moving on.
  4. You know what, I asked myself that question the other day and came to the following conclusion: 1. I am on a contract and cannot get out without paying an ETF, which I refuse to do. 2. We are holding onto the glimmer of hope that we will have unlimited LTE, which you can't find else where. 3. People usually say price, but for my one phone I pay $127 a month which is just as expensive as the other guys. 4. Voice service is actually really good throughout Orlando for me. Therefore, we complain because we are stuck but we have that glimmer of hope that when we get off the contract we will want to sign another two years because the speeds have gotten so much better with unlimited usage.
  5. I feel bad for Windemere. I'm over here today at Panera off SandLake and the service is atrocious. Can't even connect to do a speed test and phone drained to 50% in an hour.
  6. Pretty good speeds tonight up here in Lake Mary. Low pings is what I like to see! Not sure if it is because of NV or just late in the night. Will test tomorrow.
  7. I think I'm more frustrated that I get 1-2Mbps on 3G over the weekend. But once the weekdays come I'm at .05 lol. Not sure where Monday came from but that would be amazing!
  8. Same here, I travel all over Orlando for work and all down 17-92 to 434 to University I had the 'O'. Every where I had service in the past is basically gone lol. Crossing my fingers its due to the LTE rollout.
  9. Agreed. Have you seen much LTE around Orlando? If you have, do you see it consistent yet or is it still off and on? It's tough for me to judge because I am still on the 4S and only have 3G. So I am basing my results on the NV 3G rollout.
  10. I agree. Particularly because I am one of those 4S users that is anxious about the new iPhone release and Sprint's network. I have held on since last year when I heard about NV in hopes of change. But if I don't see improvement on the 3G side, I along with a lot of other iPhone users will be jumping ship.
  11. Hopefully soon! I was ready to throw my iPhone out the window today in the Dr. Philips area due to no service Hopefully they get NV up by October so they make my next iPhone choice easy!
  12. Ooohh that's how you knew the Epcot LTE was ready to go, because you are working directly on the RRUs I'll be sure to follow your posts closely
  13. Yep, I am seeing the same things up in Lake Mary. Speed tests continue to fail and switches in between the 'circle' and 3G. Hopefully this means progress!
  14. Yeah, I think we are just getting irritable! I need to go look through the site for markets that have close to completed NV rollouts and get their opinions on the new network and whether it is truly worth it to stay. My issue is going to be if we waited over a year to see improvements but still find the speeds and backhaul lackluster.
  15. Ah, doesn't sound good My contract is up in June and I will be seeing how the Sprint network is doing or if I'll be making the jump to big red at that time. Growing tired of the 0.1 Mbps, but I want to hold on to my unlimited.
  16. Looks like Melbourne got a new tower of LTE, based off Sensorly! I'm up in Lake Mary now too and hope for NV soon; however, I am seeing 3G speeds of 1Mbps where in October I was at 0.1Mbps.
  17. Question relating to Orlando and 3G. I only have a 3G phone and keep looking at the 4G locations for hope 3G will also be improved. After looking at root metrics maps, how is it that Sprint can have 1Mbps then 0Mbps less than 100 feet away? Is this due to back haul issues or mapping at different times in the day? When looking at Verizon / ATT they are very consistent. Sprint seems to be all over the map with Green to Grey strength signals. Just curious as to the cause and if we believe Network Vision will improve on this.
  18. Thanks Robert, Your posts truly are insightful and provide helpful information! I guess I will just have to make a decision, as it will come down to: Can I wait another year for my upgrade and 4G through Sprint or will I just pay the ETF, have it covered by the resale of the 4S, and move to Verizon with limited, but fast, data.
