Shotty service, reception going in and out... Sounds like business as usual to me. Today is the 17th and no LTE? Let me count the hands for people who were expecting to have LTE today??? I'm moving to San Jose area in February, so they at least have LTE there. Was getting 24mbps download speeds when I was there in early december

I have a theory that Sprint regulates or modifies or something along the sorts... The speeds we get thru apps and through browsers. Kinda like how I think Comcast tells you have a guaranteed speed but you can't stream anything so you go to a speed test site and Magically your speed is out of this world. But I am befuddled on how we can have a good speed test and then seconds later with no change, it's horrible. Correct me if I am wrong, but our speeds with cellular service should be just as dedicated as cable or DSL in theory. It may depend on how many people are using up the bandwidth but I wouldn't think it should change so suddenly (as if there was such a thing as stability with sprint to give us consistency anyways).

If it's anything like what they did to the 4g accepted tower in cruces, you won't be happy. On a different note, is it possible to restrict 3G service on different antennas on the same tower? And if so, why would you want to??? My conspiracy theory is that the 3G tower installed at Wsmr only puts out 3G on one antenna. My proof is if I walk around the tower, I will lose 3G when outside the beam width of the supposed antenna while maintaining the same signal strength. I used to get awesome 3G(1.5-2mbps) in my office and then like a switch it was gone... Very dissapointing. Anyways, I'll quote one of my hs teachers when he gave me a 60 needed to graduate school: "think of it as Xmas in June" in which I kindly gave him the universal thank you one finger salute.

Ill go with that, except the part where they have a new backhaul. That tower has been a thorne in my side ever since they turned off lte. High pings, little to no connectivity, the works... Its possible they ran the fiber to the site but still need to have another contractor do the connection. Not sure how the process is done. On another note, the private tower near walmart in the center of town has not been upgraded, but the old wimax tower down a ways has. I assume that tower wont be upgraded as shown from the nv map. But idk about that either.

ive been noticing the orange fiber pylons being put up near some of the nv towers in cruces. this includes the one on the east side that was already accepted so not sure if that will get fiber also or if some of the other providers are getting an upgrade since sprint isnt the sole provider on any tower.

Noticed a guy working at the tower just northeast of i-25 hwy 70 intersection in cruces. also noticed speed improvents near the mall area where i can never get a data connection. not sure which tower saw the improvement because i havent seen any new equipment at the tower near the walmart or the wimax tower which is lower in elevation than where i got the good speeds. The 3g/4g accepted tower is still giving horrible signal and speed. danget, we need LTE!!!

Im sure it was the horrible phone pic and not your tablet... from alb, take the Alamogordo/Main St. exit and head east. take the Roadrunner exit and use the U-turn lane and it will be right there on your right. its on a hill with soft sand so i wouldn't try to drive up to it. I am wanting to know for people who had bad coverage with 3G whether their coverage got better or worse with the 4G LTE. I have a few phones in areas where the 3g coverage right now is almost non existent inside and I am thinking about asking for an airwave to help with signal if 4G wont be any better when it finally comes.
